Thread: what if you couldn't KD/Dizzy

What would be your strategy at that point??


I personally think that some of the ways people play TKA are hilarious. KD/Dizzy/UA3/UA3/UA3. I wonder if people really use the other hits or am I one of those odd TKA's out there?


I have learned that if I do the other hits like mind hit (rocks when people go on a downer) that I can reduce my ham costs and usually outlast other TKA's. I ask about the KD/Dizzy because pretty much all I hear is that no really thinks it's fun to be KD'd and dizzied and laying on the ground while we Taz spin their HAM bars away. I know..they shouldn't stand so close to us then /evilgrin.

i agree totally, but that doesnt stop me from spamming dizzy+KD and UA3 for one, very important reason...I am afraid to die. As soon as I start experimenting on new hits, im sure ill die...so the tired and tested uber hits that'll put my enemy on his ass and let me kick the crap out of him is nice and safe

the reason I ask...and this isn't a "nerf warning by any means" is that I'm at Fan Fest and I hear that most of the devs aren't really thrilled with the KD/dizzy and the game play. I dont' know if this is something that is going to worked out in Combat Balance just a "Hunch" I am getting.

perhaps not toally elininating KD or dizzy, but i have frequenlty been able to or have been victim of a KD that lasts over 1 minute...that is far too long. You can do serious damage and end the battle in far less time than that, especially when on the groud where the damage is amplified. I would also ike to see something done about mind damage, you can take some crazy hits to the mind cuz its so hard to buff well for extended periods of time

If you're talking about PvE when I'm grouped I'll often Blind/Stun/Intimidate just to see how many states I can stick on one mob...

I thought that already happened, isn't the timer thirty seconds? I've not played a TK in a while, I'm working up to it again as we speak.

There is KD food that offers you 97% defense against KD, so I plan accordingly. I never use UA3 - I prefer mindhit, or the combos. States are a must for any serious fight, intimidate, stun and blind all keep the damage you take low and make the target easier to hit. Lunge is a must to reach out and stop kiters (in case you absolutely have to run after them...) Unarmed spin 2 has its uses in close quarters grand melee style. Dizzy/lunge is also a good combo.

KD/Dizzy is awesome but i dont use it as much as other attacks.


Unarmed Stun always my first, then a Blind / Intimidate. I keep these stats on a player virtually all the time. Stun lowering their melee/ranged defence so i get to hit more, blind they hitting less and intimidate they doing 33% normal damage. Its great.


I love TKM in PvP now for applying these states. You have someone stunned and down on the floor they are mince meat.
