Hi all,

I haven't really posted on the TK forums yet. I'm relatively new to the profession. I'm a BH on Corbantis and I was fed up with not being able to compete in pvp so I started a new character on Farstar. I decided to go with TK because I'd been told it was a fun profession and also very hard!! I mastered Doctor too so I coulkd buff my self and make some creds. I didn't do any pvp for while. Then I decided to drop Doc and take up rifles, again I heard it was a good pvp class and I wanted to be active in pvp.

I've recently mastered Rifles and still haven't done much pvp with this template but the little I have done, I've had my butt kicked! Now this has a lot to do with the fact that I haven't a clue how to pvp and I'm still learning, but also due to the fact that other professions kick ass too! I get really fed up with seeing all the posts crying for nerfs on my 2 professions, and I really don't see anything wrong with me mastering these 2 professions because I knew they were good. What should I do? I don't want tobe a dancer, I don't like crafting, should I master a combat proff I know to be crap and bugged to hell? No I chose to master 2 proffs that are currently working, and that I think I'll enjoy. I didn't enjoy Doc so I promptly dropped it.

So a note to you nerf callers and profession elitests, don't have a go at people joining the profession just because it works and others don't, and don't moan that other professions work and yours don't how about consentrating your energys on trying to get yours fixed. TK isn't that uber in pvp because most people have at least 80% Kin resist armour. And Head shot 3 eats mind quickerthan a vibro!

I am myself going MRM, MTKA, Feencer 1-4-4-0. Like you said, it works. I just started rifleman, so not sure about that but MTKA is certainly awesome, but not overpowered or unstoppable as some other professions.

The people who are owning everyone in PvP are not of similar builds as this but I liek a fght and if in the right situation TKA and fencer which I got now, lets me stay in a competitive melee duel where things could swing either way.

Just use your head when going after other defense stackers, there are ways to nail em hard while they go straight for the dizzy KD which is hard to land on your status defenses. And keep CMs line of sight off you as much as possible until you can get a chance to get a melee strike in befor they can throw anything. Its rough o do but they dont have room for much status effect defense but at the same time, remember they just gotta be targeted on you and push just one button. If by themselves you should incap/DB them in time to meditate.

Thats what I know so far from my melee classes. I like TKA cause it provides me with the means to use tactics, the damage it does is meager against some heavily armored PvPers. People that get beat so easily are meat heads that have a one track strategy and do not adjust to their opponent.

GL to you, and Im sure you'll have fun.

TKM is more about tactics than anything.

For me I will always Stun an apponent "(to lower their melee/ranged defence)" Then blind to lower their accuracy and Intimidate to lower their damage.

I do all these first before anything. Then try land the KD/Dizzy if it doesnt work i hit dizzy a few times if it lands then a posture change (lunge) a few times to see them kneel then fall down dizzy.

If this happens i know im in Jackpot. Spam some Unarmed Combo or UA3, depending on the player. Ranged normally get UA3 and Melee Combo2.

More of the time this works, I dont use Headhit if they have a composite helmet on.

You can also buy Burnout Sauce for More unarmed damage, mine atm is +24 lasting 17 minutes. Pretty good, i can take them constantly without filling stomach.

In rare occasions i will hit them with a Mind dot weapon ie: Janta knife 110 mind and hit the WC2 from Master brawler to delay them 20seconds whilst the poison ticks again.. I only do this against Stacked templates though.

Try these tricks, hope they work!

Thats typically what I use, and some muon for backup. Buffed and focus at 1400 means no HAM cost. (subject to change soon)

Also on another note, I find stun, blind, and dizzy seem to cut all defenses including status effect effectively. I suggest a macro to apply these, then lunge, see if it knocks em down, if not KD2, and if that doesnt do it go right for the damage dealers cause they probably got some high defense to posture change and KD or even food. if you spend to much time going for the KD youll die beforyouland it.
