Made Master this morning, a subsequent run-in with the Gorax 3 kilo's north of the Smuggler Outpost still turned out poorly.

the reason I asked was becauseI know as a Trando, I have a VERY difficult to near impossible chance against these MOB's (including Ancient Krayts and GDK's) alone, because of built in armor holes (apparently these big lumbering unintelligent creatures have laser precision when it comes to attacking my hands and feet)....Even was a MBrawler/ TKM/ MFencer I had to back off and recuperate while I watrched my Zabrak friend (who COULD wear armor gloves/boots) take over for me.....it's slightly embarassing to say the least.

Best you can do as a human is wear FULL Comp armor, keep it intimidated (if you have, or pick up, MBrawler, the Intim2 is a lifesaver) and tank it....but you will need ranged to take it down....don't expect to solo it or you'll spend a whole buff session and ruin your armor and still have to back off

just my 2 creds from personal experience

Yeah, I started with Conceal Shot....knocked over 100k from H and A and about 30k from M before that "Mystery Bleed" agro'd the ugly mother....

I couldn't get anything to stick and even with my best armor I was seeing 2k hits armor take 1.9k.....and I couldn't kite him, just way too fast, and nothing else wanted a piece of him either....

I gave it a game try, but I got spanked.

As a personal contribution, I am a human TKM. I have done Gorax with a minimum of 3 others; one of which is another TKM. My sole job is to keep Gorax off of the rifleman and combat medic by taunting. The BEST way, at least for us, is head hits especially since the rifleman is doing head hits as well. They go down easy like a ....sorry got sidetracked there.....

Also, last time we battled Gorax four spawned within 20-40 meters of the last. Gorax is fun but the nightmares of a massive two-toed foot coming at you is one I must work out.......

I have hunted gorax a lot, and I found that a team works best, remeber to know your role though. Best bet is a SL, a TKM and a Master commando who knows how to use his flamethrowers <---- notice multiple. The TKM's sole responsiblity is to keep the gorax intimidated and taunted. The Commando kills the gorax, and the Sl keep everyone on there feet.

REMEMBER to keep the gorax intimidated. With 80% kinetic comp/ COB/ melee toughness. a TKM can tank a Gorax for a long time, but the Commando has to stay in Melee range, and they are vitually defensesless. the gorax has AOE attacks that will spill over to the commando.

Why would you even think about taking an ancientwith TKM? It takes like 20 minutes for a group 10of swordsmen and riflemen to bring one down. You wouldn't even come close to scratching it with a VK. 450k HAM, heavy armor, 95% to everything. You would litterally be doing 1% of your normal damage to him. You would max out on BF before you came close to getting him at 75% HAM and be doing even less damage at that point. You would also go through about 4 suits of armor before somebody came along and thought of you as a free tank assuming they wanted to waste the condition on their own weapon.

We had a team of 4 a few days ago... two TKM/MD's (one of which was me), and two bounty hunters. With the TKM/MD's using taunt/intim, as well as healing dizzy, we had a fairly easy fight (but no loot, heheh). Was a fun fight. The Gorax's area knockdown/dizzies made us all look hilarious a few times.
