Hola again. I was curious if any of you experinced PvPers use macros? I have Intimidate on a 20second loop, but I was considering making one for the state effects so there is a constant flow of them. That way I can concentrate on keeping my foods up, moving and taking advantage of other aspects of the imediate battle.
Any thoughts? And if you do use them, care to share the set up?
Thanks in advance to all of you. I must say I have only posted two other times on the TKA boards and you fellas are definately the nicest bunch.

the only Macro i used in PVP was my COB one nver used any other as i found combat alway changed , and having a macro runing could lead tp problems , most other good TKM in PVP ive meet were the same COB only

COB isnt really efficient for tkm but its better than nothing
best macro i have is FOW (Force Of Will) which is a definate if u are at all serious
about PvP. sometimes they pass through DB macros and sometimes they dont
but if sum1 is not using a DB macro u will be standing hardly a second after hitting
the ground
which often confuses them
easy macro just:
name the macro FOW
/force of will;
/macro FOW;
do not put a pause in as u want to start this macro as soon as ur health is lower than
1/4 so ur screen will be spammed by the message "you cannot FOW while standing"
but this is a little inconvenience for an instant rez

I agree with you. Combat changes too rapidly to rely on macros to do all the work, especially when fighting Jedi. I'd rather apply intimidate and stun as soon as a Jedi heals it, then to wait for my macro to do it which could mean theJedi is hitting me for 400+ damage for 10+ seconds.

I only use a CoB macro.
DB macro is usefull.
FoW macro is very usefull too, when you are about to die hit it so you get up instantly.
Except for these I wouldn't rely on macro's, sometimes they get out of control. I've seen alot of people dieing cauze their macro didn't work properly.

Yes but if it doesn't stick and the KD does you've wasted a KD really.
I'm a big fan of macros (except when they're used to play AFK) and I only ever use a CoB one. I dont really do much PvP but if I get into it I'd only have a FoW and deathblow one put on the toolbar for when myself or my target get near an incap.

Macros are a very useful tool and can be used nicely, but they can also be used in the wrong way. People that think they can win by using macros to play for them are wrong. They will get whiped by a good player any day because their macros simply cant adapt to the current situation in a battle.

the only macros you should ever use in PVP are CoB, FoW, and possibly deathblow if you are really that slow and lazy. next, just have you dizzy/kd/lunge/hit3/headhit and other useful attacks in your hotkeys in an order you will remember them. i find certain mini-macros are useful, such as /clearcombatqueue; /healdamage self; just incase you got a little too click-happy. only other one you might have, if you are a doc, is /healstate dizzy; /stand; so you can spam it and get back up. some people like macros that will land states, but they are not useful at all from my experience.
