Thread: TKM / Combat Medic
i am not overly pleased with it, it's good for tanking i suppose, but i feel like im really not doing much good, and even more - not having a whole lot of fun.
been thinking about picking up combat medic with my token respec, and try actually having an effect on pvp battles and such, rather than having to be right in the middle of 5 -20 jedi who all decide i look like a nice snack at the same time... pvp for me generaly is an instant incap situation.
so, anyone tried tkm/mcm? liking it? finding it effective... and fun?
lemme know!

the two dots really help out the anemic TKM damage, though you need to be MCM for them to stick with any regularity. (if you're not MCM the resist rates are typically 60-90%, and the time you waste trying to get them to stick you could be doing at least some damage with your tkm). Heals and the state debuffs are also nice, and you get +40 ranged/melee defense.
I was TKA/Swords and switched back to tkm/cm because of the versatility it adds. much more fun for me.
yeah thats kinda the same thinking i was having.. itll help with damage and enable me to help my friend rather than having to be babysat as happens a lot currently =P
seems more fun and varied. after reading a bit on the cm boards too, im thinkin ill give it a shot, and report back here.
/waits not so patiently for work to end =P
My only issue with CM, is that the heals won't be fast enough. By the time you go through the Batca Toss animation (and you need bacta toss even when solo) I could have probably bacta jabbed and shotted in the same amount of time. Even as doc, healing could always be faster with the new buffed saber power hit. Jedi can now hit really, really hard. Upwards of 1k hard where before I was getting hit for maybe 200. The -500 tick is neat, but I am not sure if its worth it. I would also see myself paralyzing a Jedi and just running around in circles from him. Doesn't seem like clean fighting to me, and I know for a fact I would be tempted to do it.

yeah, maybe its time to sacrifice honor in battle tho.
my old lone wolf self-relying 24/7 overt lifestyle is no longer viable

ok i respecced to MCM last nite, currently at : tkm/mcm/4/4/3/0 medic.
didnt have time to do any pvp yet, did some pve, both on my own and with a few jedi.
it was a lot of fun to throw stuff, i was able to kill things 2 levels over me when solo.
will try pvp tonite =)
may start leveling a line of commando for defenses instead of the extra medic lines, altho stabilizers and the mini buff are cool.
