Thread: MTK/Master CM versus MTK/Master Doctor... pros and cons?
Combat Medic has a move that slows combat speed. Doctor has a move that speeds it up.
Combat Medic has damage over time. Doctor has heal over time.
Combat Medic heals moderately well. Doctor heals very well.
Its perfect balance. Since CM has two DoT's and Doctor has only one HoT, the extra healing of doctor makes up for the extra damage from the extra DoT. CM is more offensive while Doctor is more defensive.
In a duel it would come down to the non-Medic skills. If you like offense go CM, defense go Doctor.
I hope that helps ![]()
CM has a mezz (paralyze, 2 DoTs fire and poison, a speed debuff, a mind regen debuff, an action regen debuff, a ranged heal and a powerful area heal. Plus certification for a pretty cool pistol.
Doc has buffs (but spice can be just as good), Doc can heal wounds (but as a TKM that is not a factor and plus it is damn slow), docs have a HoT and two heals, doc has innoculations, doc has DoT stoppers (fire, poison, diease, bleeds), Doc have stabilizers (can be useful)
While it looks like Doc has a little more, in reality I would say that much of their stuff isn't as useful for TKM. And the DoTs add a lot of needed damage for dealing with high end mobs.
Currently I have a TKM/MCM and Commando 4/0/0/0 (for the extra defense and melee accuracy... plus grenades are neat)
In a group CM is more useful. You got the range heal, the debuffs, the dot's, a mez.
To me a in a tka/cm build the CM is the main profession, while a tka/doc its Tka.
I have been both and I don't feel as useful in a group as a Tka/doc, but I feel more like a TKA master. I guess I also like healing and bluffing teammates than debuffing foes.
as long as i kept cob up i was a ok
