Thread: TK damage confused

Hello!


I was wondering if anyone could explain to me the way this is done. I hear so many people complaining about low damage output from TK ; then I hear them say they combine Swordsman with TKor whatnot for better damage.


My question is do you add the other melee profs in order to use their weapons or do you just use their attacks but fight unarmed?


I would like to fight unarmed instead of using other profs weapons, is there a way to boost my damage output? Or am I doomed to doing realy low damage unless i give up unarmed fighting?

you can use the swordsman specials without epuipping a sword


i mean barehanded


i personally have 4/x/x/x swords to get the powerhit which is a stonger hit unarmed than our own advanced combo hit

Any other profession attack is better than adv combo attack this is where i see a problem tkm +mdoc makes for horrible dps.

It sound silly i used adv impale how does one impale with a fist??.

LOL lets leave that to the DEVs for now. But i use the advanced head hit combo and critical attacks. They are my absolute favorites i havent been on to tes tthe new animations hope it looks cool. But personally the TK attacks are lacking power. we have i think 4 attacks with little power behind them. Combo takes 5 uses and bye bye action pool.

So is using attack from other melee profs while still unarmed (no weapon ) enough of a damage boost to justify the skill points used on those extra melee profs? or would it be better to add like combat medic and use its DOTs as damage boots?

I'm a TKM, 4-x-x-1 Doctor,and currently 4-4-3-3 into sword. I pretty much onlyuse sword specials when fighting unarmed now (with the exception of ICOB, and Adv. Leg Sweep). Advanced Armor Break, alone,has made playing TKM much more effectivesince it nearly doublesmy normal output damage (not to mention thatit last 30 secs, as opposed to the Armor Break in the TK tree that only lasts a couple seconds).Coupled with the other sword specials, and using no weapon, I can hit pretty consistentlywithin the 500-1000 damage range against opponents around mycombat level, which is currently 79. Once I started using sword specials as a TKM I could fightopponentsup to 9 combat levels higher than me without much problem at all. Plus the battles go by much faster which makes the gameplay,speaking as a solo player, much more enjoyable.

I have another question?


ifusing knucklers, is the damage output higher than bare hands, now with the publish 18?


does it worth it to buy them?

TKM sucks by itself. I never go unarmed vs an opponent because you cant do enough damage + with no weapon we still have a pretty highish SAC (i would like to see this lowere to around 80-85 as i believe its more like 100).

I use a power hammer as im a master swordsman aswel and i just rock with TK defenses and swordsman damage output. Its just pathetic that you only get TK for defenses and COB tbh if you want to survive.

Theyve added the animations which has brought back the sexyness of this profession but we still do low damage so whats the point

its true the animations are back but offense is still horrendous and the defense seems to me to have dropped a bit on its own, on TC i played a tkm/masterdoctor/2020 swords for some power moves, i didnt lose to either ranged nor melee, it just took me a long time to win, about 12 min per duel to beat them, with a necrosis knuckler good lord its sad, hehe we can only hope they fix it, that was in TC i havent played live publish 18 yet hope to tonight and see if the token respec will make me a master doctor master swords or not, i would worship SOE for just a little boost in damage plz, i mean not that 85 damage isnt amazing but i think in light of swordsmans 1500+ hit, we should try to give the tkm about i dont know 450-500 per hit in pvp, plz and give us spin attack back and unarmed 2 and all our other moves plz

I got both new tka weapons. Their damage is in the 700's. Now I looted a pike, which was easy to get btw and it has 800+. We are suppose to do more damage than Pike, but we aren't even equal. Why does our damage suck? Oh wait we get advance cob, which really makes us the best tanks. Thing is we don't and we aren't.


Mswords/Mpike/0010 tka is the best tank.


Great damage with a weapon that can be crafted.


Area attacks.


Advanced Intimidate


the best cob.


area taunts


and crafted armor which is not hard to get and is as good or better than innate.

nope sorry mate, I ampure tkm (no fencer, no pike, only the 4 boxes in brawler swords that is required), no area taunt or advanced taunt, that comes from pike i believe (not sure 'cause I don't have pike). I do know I don't have it tho.

If they could just fix the display bug with adv combo, and make it so we can actually do more damage than a pikeman, we might have a chance of being a decent profession on our own. As it stands a tkm can be out damaged by ANY other combat profession (not counting combat medic and doc). The thing that I really can't stand is that our 3 in offense means nothing what so ever, and weare easily out damaged by a pikeman who gets a 2 in offense.
