Center Of Being is absolutely necessary for the survival of a Melee player - the restrictions on firing it should be looked at (I agree with not being able to attack/heal during warm up, but standing still seems a little much).

Healing is to hard. im a doc and only heal 700 with my best heal, relly needs tones up

-TK Issue

Unarmed fighting.

Fighting unarmed cost to much action and does to little damage. We have 1 high damage attack(combo attack), it should do better damage. There is a problem when everyone takes tka, but noone fights unarmed if they have a choice. We have no 54 level craftable weapon. If bare hands are meant to be are main weapon then it need improved.

Melee fighting.

Melee fighting is messed up. We have few states and buffs, what ones we do have don't seem to do much or stick very often (except cob which is to good). High defense numbers don't help much with tanking. You can go all melee build, but a melee/doc will out tank you. If you have CoB in your build then your defense is pretty much meaningless. No special should be so needed that nothing else compairs to it and you are gimped without it. I don't mind if melee fighting invloves a lot more than standing still acting as a meat shield, but decide what we are and how we are to fight and then adjust the melee professions so they can proform decently in that style.

primary issue is that we have to stand still and yet kill people that run from us using ranged weapons. This is a huge problem when you have to stop and Center of Being every 30 seconds.


I recommend the followingpossible fixes;



  1. Allow us to apply COB while running

  2. Give us extra burstruns, or possiblylonger burtrun times and shorter timers (my favorite alternative)

  3. Make COB last much longer

PLEASE look into this issue.

TK Issue: Unarmed/weapon damage - other than providing a new energy type, weapons are almost irrelevant.

Non-TK Issue: Whiny people. No, no, I kid. Aggro control isn't fleshed out enough - Taunt doesn't create enough hate to work effectively, damage seems to be the only real way to control aggro, which means melee powerhouses have to be tanks.

Hi all, here my 2 cents.


TKA Issue:

There are not enough specials [and the particle effects] and nothing distinctive in TKA. TKA are just tougher brawlers now, nothing specials.


Non_TKA Issue:

All Combat professions need to have higher damage and / or DPS when fighting NPC and Creature.

#1 TKA profession issue:
Damage
Advance Combo attack is not working, weapon should increase damage output and its not(Referring to necrosis-nightblade)

#2 Non-Profession issues
Animation
I know it might not be consider important to some players but to me all profession Animation is so basic...High punch low punch moves...not very pleasent to the eyes.

1) TKA - If we are suppose to be the best tanking profession, We need more tanking ablities. No body wants us as tanks Jedi are much better tanks. Our main role we can not preform. Either allow us to increase innate armor with CAs. or bump it up to +70. Withou armor we can not recieve health bonus, we are stuck with base armor (Any other melee profestion can use Kinnitic or Energy armor to their choice and change between them depending on MOB)

TKA issue:


TK does not have ANY attack.


Explanation: (tested on Melichae Force crystals)
- Advanced combo attack does 375 damage and take 18% of action pool.
- Melee asault does 1050 damage and take 15% of action pool.
- Melee strike does825 damage and take 10% of action pool.


If you want to take TK and Master Defeneder template it is TOTALY useless cause you as TK do not have good enough accuracy (you miss almost 50%) to hit anythingand with TK only,your best attack available is Melee strike.


Non-proffesion Issue:


Food and drink stacking, that should be fixed.

TKA issue-

Tanking... Pike, Swords, and Fencer have more tanking abilities than us and we are supposed to be the "main" tanks... whether its damage related, or being able to state an opponent, or even taunt


non TK issue(kind of)

SEAs- especially for TK, unarmed dmg, def vs stun, plus who knows what doesnt work for the other professions... I AM NOT talking about the older mods, I'm referring to the ones post CU. TKs all rady have enough bugs, then the mods that we can enhance ourselves with, well... they are about as helpful as force of will... nice to say you have it, but not even worth trying to use

All of our issues are important, I can not give one or the other pirority...I will support what ever the Ranger comunity thinks. Just fix something so that we know you still love us

It's a great ability, but why do we need to be standing still for it to work? Server lag makes this even more annoying.


Limited choice in weapons.


Part of the CU was to allow for more choice in weapons. As a Swordsman/TKA the only weapon I bother using is the power hammer like every other Swordsman.
