Thread: Aura is changed how did CoB fair?

hello fellow TKM's
I've been busy IRL the past two days and haven't had a chance to log in since the nerfbat...er....publish hit.
I havea padawan toon and a TKM/Swordsman/Fencer toon, one has aura, one has improved cob.
The jedi boards are all reporting a change to aura in that we aren't seeing very much damage mitigation anymore. There used to be at least a 40% reduction to damage with improved Aura - which was about the same as Improved CoB.
People are now reporting that there are more "Misses" (this sounds like it's tied in to an accuracy nerf, to me) - but less mitigation. I'm hearing numbers of aura only reducing pvpdamage by 27 points (not percent...POINTS!)
Can anyone do a quick test with CoB and post theirincoming damagewith and without it?

I noticed something like that las tnight. Not sure if it was dumb luck or an actual nerf.

i am taking alot less damage when i use Cob... vs a jedi that is... forgot the exact numbers but i know i get hit for less each hit.

I have seen no real change in mob damage or misses since the patch. CoB appears to be working as intended / expected for me. Currently I am TKM, with dabble in smuggler & pistol and take significantly less damage when CoB is running. Since the patch there *may* be an increase in the avoidance, however I don't believe it is significant, but I don't have pre / post-patch hard data to support / disprove.

sounds like TK cob might have gotten away without a nerf (crosses fingers!)

Interesting you should mention this.
Ihave donea bunch of faction missions over the past two days, and it seems that with COB now (compared to the previous pub),there are more misses, but less mitigation. The overall effect seems like a less effective COB. I don't have any numbers from the previous publish to compare it to, but I noticed that with the new pub, I have been using stims more often than before. I will see if I can get some numbers (COB vs. no COB) before the end of the weekend.

I have been grindingboth pre punish 18 and post, and to me it seems the mitigation is about the same; at same level mobs I still get about 50% damage with Improved CoB turned on (62 ptsvs. 118 pts against most CL 31 creatures) - AFAIR it was around the same before the punish publish. I haven't - on the other hand - noticed they miss much more... that also seems the same to me.
This from a TKA that doesn't haveall thatmany Inate Armour points yet and who has only played TKA for a week (you guys have better reference knowledge than I, I presume).

dont put yourself down u could b the best TK here u never know lol. But i am hoping the Bat missed us.
