Thread: Unarmed lunge and dizzy
Hey guys, I got a question for you. I was fighting earlier and decided to try out the unarmed lunge and dizzy combo I've read about against a Gungan general. Well, I was surprised to find that it actually worked. He was knocked on his ass and made like a turtle, "Meesa fall over and can'tsa get up."
Problem is, I tried it later on a Mauler Lord, and it wouldn't work. I kept doing unarmed lunge, then dizzy, and he'd keep killing me. Of course, I had to knock him down, and while that buys me time, he doesn't flail around on the ground like the Gungan did. Now, what I'd like to know is, what's the trick? I used KD against the Gungan to, and I think that's what led to his turtle like status, but nothing I do seems to be working any more. Any tips?
Hi, ex-swg player here...
I was checking up on the game (still not worth playing), I read about the KD HAM cost nerf and thought I'd mention something else that should still work. This seems like a good place to put it...
First, to answer the posters question, dizzy has a percent chance to make them fall over when they change posture. Like the gungan did they fall over again and again and again. It only works on humanoid characters.
Now, for the poorly designed game breaking skill. Lunge, it sucks compared to KD, but it can still be spammed. It does almost no damage and it can be easier to recover from. The bonus? I noticed it to be resistsed less than knockdown. If you want to kill a jedi knight now? Get two tka masters and have one lunge while the other beats away at it. The thing will die in about 20-30 seconds.
Final tip: The best thing to watch when doing this is the posture icon on the target window, it will have the standing, kneeling, prone picture up depending on what the NPC is, even an animal will have these.
