Hi,

This thread is for anyone still looking to play the game. If you don't want to play your TK character because thing are so horrible, I accept that. But can we please have one thread of actual useful information to go along with the other 900 threads of complaining?

Today I went to endor, again I'm 0/1/3/1, master brawler - so about mid way in the TKM line. My suggestion is Bolmas. Here's why:

1) they are non-agrresive, usually spawn in twos - Bolma youths and Bolmas. Bolma youths can be one-shotted which means you can take care of the baf issue pretty easily. Bolmas themselves con red to me currently.

2) at my level, a bolma takes about 60-90 seconds to kill (I think, basically what I mean is that it doesn't FEEL like it takes a long time) and gives about 2500-3000 experience depeding on whether you have a 26% group bonus from a pet or something like that.

3) Their lairs are slow spawning, which means the pace is one I can very comfortably handle on my own.

4) they are not incredilby difficult to find. Just head northeast from the research outpost and explore. There's some other good stuff there, and yes some stuff that I have no chance against as well.

So if there are any lurkers out there who are thinking - gee this patch sucks, BUT I want to keep playing my TK and be successful, then here is one suggestion for some good midrange hunting options.

Would those be do-able as a 0/1/0/0 TKA? I'm guessing not...

Lok also has some good missions. Currently you can get missions to kill Nym Bases that pay out 13-16k per mission. Each mission base is guarded by 2-3 guards, usually humanoid. Although occasionally there will be a droideka there.

Basically you can use unarmed lunge1 + dizzy to keep the humanoids incapacitated while you kill them. Each one gives 2-4k xp. Killing the base gives the mission reward. I generally kill off the guards one-by-one and then take out the base. It has never yet respawned another Nym while I am taking out the base. These guys con anywhere from blue to red to a TKA Master, so they are no pushover. Bringing a friend or having some basic healing skills will make this much, much easier.

Some points

1) They are non-aggro and do not Bring a Friend.

2) Droidekas are very tough. I suggest saving it till last and killing the base instead, sometimes the droideka will not aggro you. If it does, you get a free trip back to the mission terminal.

3) There is a LOT of unfriendly aggro around. Especially watch out for the Humanoids that will shoot you dead from a distance (Mercenarys, Corsairs, etc...).

4) If you are just xping, just run around to the Nym camps (they are everywhere) and find the lower con Nyms to kill.

Knockdown is still nice to have, for when the Nyms prove especially resistant to the Unarmed Lunge + Dizzy combo.

Although I am currently a Master, I was able to do these guys with a spec of 0/1/4/1 a couple of weeks ago.

Hope that helps!

I'm currently 0/2/3/2 on Talus. The mob of choice is currently the ever popular Savage Kahmurra.

These guys are white con to me, and grant about 1800 exp normally. But I typically have my pet Natalia, a jungle Fynock given to me by a CH, groupedallowing me to netaround 2500 for the kill.

Advantages:

1. Easy to find.

2. Relatively easy to kill. I was soloing these at 0/1/1/1 and taking only medium damage.

Disadvantages:

1. Hostile and BAF.

2. Exp isn't super great, but you can normally find a steady supply.

Thank you for the LOK information - I'll be using that tonight!

To the other preson, I did manage to solo one bolma at 0/1/0/0 - but that was pre patch, and it was kind of risky.

But now they are pretty nice.

I think I need some strategy help -- at the Nym base, I took the two nyms no problem, but holy hell the Droiddeka made SHORT work of me -- any ideas?

You said you could take them out, and tips?

Run the droideka off, they are a friggen waste of time. They kite you and if your not lucky, they'll kite you into some merceneries or pirates that will aggro you.

Ok, well these would still be excellent with a friend - thanks for the tips.

Nyms sound excellent exp. I am a 0100 TKA as well, but you made it sounds as though the Nyms are relatively easy targets.

Should I take a stab at it?

BTW, keep this post going I am getting a lot of good info.

Most definitley Devyon, just go prepared to die on occassion. At that level do not under any circumstances fight a droideka unless you want to die . They can kill ya in a hit or two it seems like (even after just being knocked down....I died twice with my TK partner at 0/1/1/0, she was 0/1/2/1. And right after the thing fell it killed one of us in a flash...was very strange...happened again later that day). The Droideka are not too bad when they don't do whatever the hell that suprise attack is (I think the animation of them falling was late like I get on Bolle's sometimes now, I've learned to watch the stance animation and combat window a lot closer while fighting now), but avoiding them will make your life easier.

As long as you don't care about death -- and in the games current state nobody should -- go and have a blast. The Nym's hit pretty freakin hard too, but with dizzy/lunge and KD for emergencies, you should be fine as long as you're awake. Still gonna die tho , more than likely from some aggro mob than the nyms unfortunately...**edit** wanderers.

My favorite place to get exp with my TKA -

Right out back of the cloning station on Moenia Naboo. These spawns are close enough to where if you die, there is no loading screen. You pop right back in the cloning tube and you can head right back to the mob you were killing and keep the exp. The most common mobs that spawn outside the cloning station are narglatches, gungans, borvo mercs, fambas, fulumpas, tusk cats, and on occasion swamp cats. The swamp environment makes it very easy to kite the fambas when they spawn as well. No problem taking any of these one on one as a 0121 TKA.

It's only 44.95 a month. Thats pennies a day! Surely this convenience entices you! Pornography and online gaming at hundreds the times the speed of your normal advertising service provider. It's so easy to use, and the surgery to implant it in the base of your skull is so painless, its no wonder I'm number one!

Sorry if I was not clear about the droidekas.

No, I do not fight them. Since I am mostly doing these missions for cash, I just position myself on the opposite side of the base as the droideka and take the base down before the droideka kills me. I am not sure how feasible that is at lower levels, at master level it is doable.

If you are just xping, I suggest you ignore droidekas all together

Good luck!
