Thread: Expanding the Meditate ability to include Mental Toughness would make us better tanks
My biggest problem with tanking is the mind incaps. Mobs that target my mind just kill me. There needs to be a better way as a profession to reduce the number of hits and dammage we take to the mind.
My thoughts are to make meditate a form of Mental Toughness, that gives us:
- The ability to somewhat reliably dodge head shots
- Reducedmind dammage taken because of our calm inner state.
- The ability at the master meditate level to actually heal mind bleeds while in combat.
That would help us out a bit in PvE tanking and PvP.
What do you all think?
I think that Meditate should regenerate Mind damage at a rate of 1% per point of the Meditate skill.
Because, you know, that's what meditating is all about.
I do agree.
No to Dodging headshots reliably though. Snipers are pros ya know? Same for the reduced damage..
Heal Mind Bleeds in combat, yes.. That would be logical as you're very focused. All bleeds maybe.
And the 1% regen boost i don't like.. maybe make it so every 10 points of meditate you get a 2% mind regen increase.. so 50% mind regen incrase
THAT would be awesome! But people would get TKA -just- for the Power boost /meditate skill line =/
/agree
Meditate needs to be WAY more functional than it is. This would make alot of newer wanna-be Master Teras Kasi actually have a reason to go up in Meditation.
Still.... why do i have to knock the crap out of myself just to do a special move? Why does this take more mind than action most of the time (ima stupid lizard without alot of brains)?
Oh well, ill continue to /unarmedspin2 a mob and then slice my own wrists open.

I think we need to be able to dodge general head attacks from different mobs more reliably. Not to the extent that a sniper can't hit us, but to the extent that only a trained sniper can hit us somewhat consistently (hopefullynot every attempt).
