Thread: A thought on evening out melee fighters
I wasn't sure which melee profession to post this under, but irregardless it seems one of the underlying complaints with melee professions is the ability for a ranged user to simply shoot and keep running, meanwhile the meleer runs to their death chasing them. There are certain strategies to prevent this, regardless the ranged user clearly has an advantageous position.
My proposition is that all meleer professionsshould have a "sprint" skill. It would allow them to burst run for about 16m -32m without the extremely high ham cost of burst run and without the extremely long wait afterwards (although there still should be a 20 sec. or sowaiting limit afterwards). Hopefully this would allow melee professions the ability to close the gap between ranged users, but not an extreme extent. Maybe this is or isn't a good idea, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Any thoughts?
/stick comand, and anyone that has ever played daoc knows what i mean, this game should have had one before release, and it needs one now more then ever.
/stick comand simply puts you the person who ignitiates the comand on your target and in melee range, they move, you move, but you move with them in melee range, to brake this the other person burst runs, runs you into an obstical, incaps you, or slows/posture change, knocks you down.
Im suprised this isn't in the game, and it should be.
