How does TKM measure up to Master Swordsman? What advantages does one have over another or are they about even?

Does one tank better than the other? Does one solo better than the other? Which one has better defense, offense?

TK has better defense and worse offense. Swordsman has better offense and worse defense. TK is a better tank. Swordsman does better damage dealing.

Yeah, we got crappy damage specials. Our weapons are better b/c of lower sac and faster speed, though.

I took both. I don't feel much like a TKM anymore. I don't feel like a swordsman either, since I use a hammer. I've also taken to wearing funny hats when I fightsince it's hard to take my combat professions seriously anymore.

I think it makes more sense to say tkm vs pike. Pike is what we should be. Its a fun professions with many choices. You have defense in the form good def and specials like intimidate. You have offense with impale, control with a kd attack and aoe's. You have many choices in battle.


TKA has no real damage, dizzy is pretty pointless, you do get a kd, but no aoe's. TKA has cob and innate armor. I sort of wish they would take away tka's armor (since that must be why we give up so much) and give us specials and damage and maybe split cob into seperate def specials.

If you double up TKM with something like Sword, you get back many of the missing moves you used to have, along with 3 or 4 very familiar looking animations. You start doing better damage (using unarmed with sword specials), and you feel like a TKA again. Or at least I do.

Of course, I had to give up all of CH to do that, whereas before I could be both CH and TKA. But that kind of "double dipping" is frowned on now I guess.
