Thread: Question: Katarns?

I was waiting on my adk and it got bugged, I was tired of waiting to try out my Kartan knuck, so i use about 50-60 hit points of it. They got the vet. rewards working so i use the adk on my KK's, and the hit points went back up to 100%. If i ever give up the KK then of course it will be useless.

So ur saying whatever decay is on my katarns, using a ADK will put thme back to 100% and anti decay them for ever.

For me yes that was what happened, I did not have a lot of damage on my knuck's, but that should not matter.

Do they hit for less as they decay?

No weapons hit for less with decay. ADK'ing will always restore up to 100% or a weapons condition(which is a moot point, since damage isn't affected and you have to delete them in order to bring the ADK back).


The only thing one should be wary of is to use them before slicing, since they (IIRC) get bio-linked then.

gah i linked mine and adked mine before getting it sliced and it didnt work... i even made a ticket and i am almost sure its not suppose to be this way since tehr ewas no warning about it

How do you get the katarn knucles? Im looking to get a pair for my TKM.

First wookieeto your left when you enter the Ryatt trail on Kashyyyk. Right now the first three missions are easily soloable, the fourth one might take some time unless you have help; Katarn is said to need a group of three (I've only finished the fourth mission as of now, gonna get Katarn this weekend).

If my katarns have dropped condition by say 200- 300...

Are they hitting for less?


If I ADK them now, will they still be as new only (condition less but wont drop cos of ADK)

Actually, unless it's been changed since maybe the last publish, if a weapon gets below 50% condition the min/max damage does go down I think.


and to the person that never got a warning for biolink, does it actually say <biolink> (yourname) on the knuckler? When Rage of the Wookies first went live the knuckles didnt have bio-link, they just couldnt go anywhere but your inventory or bank and couldn't be traded. If you have one of these like I do you can't do anything about it, you'll have to buy a new one off another player to be able to get one sliced.

At 25% the weapon starts to _permanently_ lose stats, correct. But the condition of the weapon does not in any other way diminish its stats (i.e. a 26% DL44 is just as good as a 100% DL44 with the same stats).
