Thread: Attack combos... lets try to pool our ideas as we've the power of a nuna.....

Having been a M TK / M Smuggler for what seems like forever (Started playing Oct 03 and been M TK / M smuggler almost a year and a half) has ANYONE got any combo's / mini macros they find usefull? I personally have a small repeating /attack /pause 1 going at times, but sometimes this makes CoB worse. Also I have a select target / dizzy /KD (repeated 3 times) button that helps when agro'd and I don't have enough health to pull out my renegade pistol to concuss. shot them. (As obviously any innate armour disappears when I draw my gun). However I still lose a lot of health, even with a nice bit of self healing from medic.


Anyone found a way of combining moves to deal DECENT damage without almost incapping yourself? If so please post here. See if we can get past nuna level of combat

I havent noticed losing my innate armor when I have a gun out, maybe Im just not paying attention. But yes our offense is weak, everyone else on this FotM forum will justtell you to just get swords.

What is the target macro you use? I have combo attack on a 5 sec loop and COB on a 35 sec loop with melee strike as auto. Decent dmg and my action lasts forever. Also manually hit armor break if it gets tough.

uh.. ok.


#1 your innate armor does NOT go away regardless of your weapon equipped. youll lose the unarmed defensive bonuses, but not the armor. tia only goes away if you equip a piece of ARMOR!

#2. i dont reccomend using combat macros, aside from cob, in pve OR pvp. theres simply too much lag, everything is far too easily jumbeled. theres no reason you shouldnt be doing things by hand imo. gives you a better grasp for what you are doing, easier to change your mind should the tide of battle change etc. especially considering warm up timers, cool downs and the like. but then i have never been a fan of macoo-ing things (aside from cob), even pre-cu.

#3. the first things i generally do are cm related, thus wont help you. for melee stuff: armor break, kd, combo attack. then melee strike, then combo attack, alternating between these and using basic hit when/if i run low on action.

#4. if you find you are low on health, and want to get into smuggler mode, kd your target and switch to the pistol. concussion shot, last ditch. dont forget last ditch deals damage in proportion to how low your health is, so its the perfect move for the situation youre describing

crispic (accuracy food) is a must imo. especially for templates like yours and mine, which do not have a lot of melee accuracy. also will help with landing last ditch.

btw, id like to add that cob and foods and buffs are soem of the great assets avaible to you, and shouldnt be overlooked.

If you want to PvP or be effective as a tank, then yes. It's not a matter of FotM, it's self-explanatory that you have to increase your damage and get some healing if you want to fill the role you envision for yourself.
Now if you were only to RP your character I guess you could go any way you wanted to, but as a PvP:er and PvE tank I want to be at my best - and due to how the game mechanics work right now that means some Sword and some Doc.





not really, lol.

im a better tank than a swordsman doc. granted i have very little offensive skill, i am a far greater tank.

Pike or Sword, who cares - you positively need Doc and more damage / better aggro. If you don't have Doc I promise I outtank you any day. As for getting and holding aggro I'm not sure which is the best compliment to TKA - Sword or Pike.

Well, unless you're a jedi I guarantee you can't tank better than a TKM+Doc+something that helps _keep_ aggro. But please do enlighten me.

a good tka template isn't weak...
