I keep seeing people posting that they are losing effectiveness of TK innate armor with non TK weapons equipped.

Just to clear this up:You lose your unarmed defenses with a different weapon equipped, not innate armor.

Innate armor always works, but you may find yourself sacrificing some defenses if you equip a non TK weapon.

For example: TKM unarmed defense is 75. Equip a Power Hammer at Master Swords, and you only have the Two-Handed Melee Defense 50 to fall back on. I don't know the exact way in which those two numbers relate, but it is interesting that for Unarmed, it does not mention Melee or Ranged, just "Unarmed Defense."
