Does a vk need this motor (you can loot on lok) to be crafted?

no, standard VKs come without this motor, so a Nym motor will add 20 max dammage to a VK

I looted a trio of motors off of a nym guy that were +29, but I know you can find ones off of nightsisters that are even better

what kind of nym guy did you loot the 3 +29 motors? today I got 5 +20 max motors, lookin for +29s though.. you get it off a droideka or?

You can't put a motor into a VK. Instead, when a VK is made the crafter uses the looted vibro motor as a component. So you have to find a weaponsmith who will be willing to make you a new VK using your motor.

Nyms vibro motors can be used with crafted motors, they are vibro motor enhancements, as where the Nightsister motors replace the motor it self...

thnx for the fast replies.what stats will my vk have approx. when i put a motor in it? i now have a sliced one with 194 max damage.
