Thread: Wookiee and TKA Question

Hey all. I've recently just worked my way up into the Teras Kasi Artist tree, but I've found that my HAM gets slaughtered when I wear the available Wookiee Armor. I'm wondering what the best suggestion for items to wear for a Wookiee are, since we are extremely limited in our ability to wear clothing/armor.


Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi im a wookiee TKM and i have the same problem with armour.The only thing i think you can do is get doctor buffs then it is no longer a problem.You are gonna need the buffs anyway if u are going to hunt anything of a decent lvl.Otherwise i just wear my wookiee smock and a weighted hood but these dont give you any protection.

I've heard that Bio Engineered clothing would be a good idea instead of wearing armor. What should I be looking for in the bio eng'd stuff. I've tried being buff'd and wearing my armor, but trying to do any amount of specials on enemies still seems to drain my points, even with brandy and other mind buffs.

My first thought is that your armor needs to be sliced for encumbrance,


Doctor buffs are a must , this shouldn't be a problem for you being a MD.


Get some low ham VKs made special from a weaponsmith, get a few pairs and get them sliced as well.


go up the power tree first so that your specials are more effective.


Use intimidate on *every*thing you fight, you get a good bonus as a wookiee, if it is not sticking then use your wookiee roar , if it still doesnt stick then warcry then try about 3 ints in a row till one lands.


Now setting yourself up like this you well need some credits, seeing as you are a MD this shouldnt be an issue for you, I have yet to meet a poor MD.....



Personally, I dont really run into anything hunting that ham costs are an issue. When you get to master, its a different bag, By the time you reach TKM you will have a different sence of what is what.

I'm a trando, I just limit myself to a BP and helm, both encumbrance sliced, and I at least make sure to take good food buffs (doc/entertainer buffs preferred).

If I can't be bothered to get buffed I just take a swig of brandy, put on my armor and only do 1 or 2 specials per kill and heal myself now and then.


It takes longer but if you've got nothing better to do... then what the hell

I use the new hunter armor for wookiees and it has 80% resist vs. kinetic and 56% base.

Its very good and I paid 170k for a set.

I have 3 suits of hunitng armor witch are crafted before the patch....can wear those without buffs but migrated stats...the ones crafted after the patch i only can wear chest and leggins(28% encumbrance slice on it!) being unbuffed....


btw. blk. mtn has 79% kinetic and 20% base...hunting suits 80% kin/energy/64 base and 37% stun/79 kinetic/55% base....i love those pre-patch suits...

I have a set of Black Mountain (can't afford the heavy duty set yet LOL). I only wear the chest and the legs. Doc buffs, Music buffs and off I go. Never have a problem spamming specials, using a speed sliced VK.


You may wanna look at leaving the bracers off, they really don't do that much - just a thought.
