No I don't think so - you need to be quite high level before it makes a lot of difference, and don't forget that you can simply sit in a medical facility, albeit fora long time, and get your wounds and bf healed over time (without other players). I think if tka were able to heal bf using meditation it would make the profession way too independent, but as it is it's a nice perk that doesn't overpower too much

most medics are useless anyway, if you go to a med center and there actually is a medic in there, he/she is either spamming a tumbler or way to low of a lvl to make a difference

Another very important factor to keep in mind... medics can heal /during/ battle. Meditation, as you know, only can be done when in an undisturbed setting.

Meditation won't heal damage, or heal being on fire... You also can't meditate with states on you.

You forgot those who can't heal your wounds, even if you pay, because they are busy selling buffs.

Yeah, besides, its a whole tree devoted to meditating that could be more combat skills, imagine if we had another combat tree, how insanely high our toughness would be, and our combat abilities I like meditate, its interesting and unique. Like it was posted before, it would only be unbalancing if it could be used IN battle.

do you think that meditation steps on the toes of all those medics?
me? i think it was an interesting choice to have meditation heal wounds, i would have liked it to increase regeneration rates but umm yeah whatever.

do not forget, medics do not buff, put out fires or heal states. docs do. and they cannot heal wounds in battle unless theres a droid about. its anyones guess as to whether "most medics are useless" but thinking that way is no different from saying all entertainers are afk. thats just not true and the medics you know are not representatives of the profession. so dont judge the medic profession based off of them.

TK/Doc here. I agree that Medics in med centers are too busy grinding exp on tumblers to be worth anything. Meditation is ok imo because as a TKM/Doc my goal was to be self sufficient. I don't need anyone to heal anything except my BF.
Good thing is TK meditation obviously only heals the user and cannot be used to heal others. The average Medic just ignores people in med centers. Thats not how it should be but until combat balance I think it will continue.
As a doctor I don't sell buffs, but I do my best to heal peoples wounds whenever I can free of cost. Mainly just because as a Doc, well.. it's your duty in a way. Nothing against medics but unfortunately a large percentage of them are useless. (Again, I am a Master Medic, Master Doctor, Teras Kasi Master. Medic is a very useful profession but I feel most are not playing it as it was designed.)

Interesting... as a doc I generally don't go out of my way to heal wounds... my thinking is that somewhere there will be a medic that could use this legitimate xp, wheras as MD I don't. I would of course heal a disease, for the entire 1 xp you get for it, and other states that medics cannot heal.
I think some harsh comment were written earlier about medics - they have a great place in the field as they are levelling, I think it's a shame they don't geta healState A and docs a healState B, but there we go.
Finally many many people take just one or a couple of boxes of medic "just in case"... I suspect there are more people with a fraction of the profession than with the entire profession (outwith doctors) - so it isn't always about the wound heal
