Thread: Robotic Arms?

I have seen a few pictures on imagedump.com, butI dont tknow if there true, so I was wondering if any1 heard anything on those metal robotic arm things that act as a regular arm, that would be an awesome weapon for a tka to have.

They first apeared in the .Tre files back in Publish 10. At this time the only use of them is for some NPCs mainly the two you have to kill as part of the Villiage of Aurilia Exit quests (also one or two of the Space Trainers have them as well). Thats the only way they show up in game at the moment though.
At present time theres no indication they will ever be used on player characters. The pics you will have seen on Image dump is where someone has moded the client so they can see what these limbs are like.
Though I could quite see my Human character with a fake armour one day.

I used to so shirtless and then wear composite armor on my arms to make it look like I had robotic arms. That's an option for some people. In fact, I know there were cyborgs in the Warren that had partial composite armor on them to make them look cyborg-like.

could you PM me how you did the robotics. i know how to do modding (iv done the basic R5 to Emporer and probot to ATAT) but failed with making my AV-21 itno a jetpack (or my VK into a LS lol). anyway how did you do the arms? if you could PM me what files to switch it would be really awsome

I had a mod that made all polearm, one and two handed weapons into lightsabers. It was cool for about a day then I undid it.

Unfortunately the place I downloaded it from isn't around anymore. They let their domain name expire.

when you mod something, does it show up modded on other peoples screens too?
like, if you made a lance into a lightsaber, would it show as a lightsaber on other peoples screens?
also i would like to know how to get these mods, because i like to make little short films and get good screenshots,
and some cool looking things would be really cool for footage and screenshots, please PM me if you can help, thank you

First of all, they only show up on your own screen. The site i learned how to do this stuff on and got the robotic arm is no longer available, it was the best swg modding site but the guy didnt keep it running. Now i only know how to do a few basic modding things, like weapons into lightsabers, weapons to other weapons, and switching out armor or jedi robes.

The expansion in May will allow people to have robotic arms/legs.
