What do you guys think are the best professions to mix with TKA? What have you found to be the best combination? I would think picking a ranged class with the TKM would be ideal.

Im thinking of smuggler or rifleman. What are your thoughts?

Actually I use Master CH. I love having pets to send in and whoop the crap out of someone. Especially bioengineered ones with good specials and resists.

Another good profession is Master Doctor. How powerful is a Teras Kasi Master buffed to the max that can heal himself/herself in an instant?????...............I think you can see where that one goes.

Even Master Commando could be good. I guess just depends on how you play and who you play with.

I've been thinking about this question as well for myself. I haven't started to pvp yet but will soon. I'm about halfway through CH and just got 0-1-1-1 in TK. My husband whom I hunt with all the time is a master fencer/doc so I get buffs from him. Problem is my pets don't seem very effective anymore since I dropped pistoleer (they never hold agro for very long) and seem more of a hinderance than help except for the added xp bonus from group. So I've been thinking of getting master brawler and some in fencer for the dodge. Will that be viable or is that one of the things that is currently on the chopping block for nerfage (dodge from fencer line while unarmed)?

the current best choices are:

pistoleer + smuggler 0040

doctor

rifleman

fencer

in a nutshell, lots of things go well with TKM. since there is going to be a defense stacking nerf, and carbine specials are on the table for publish7, don't be surprised if TKM + Carbineer becomes very nice.

Sorry don't know how to quote. Dodge doesn't work when unarmed so don't bother getting getting it from the fencer line.

There are many good choices. You should pick what fits your style.

I like Dirty Fighting from the Smuggler line, plus Master Gunfighter. This gives you the best pistol shots and except for Fencer, the defense in the game, IMHO.

Plus, unlike fencer, you haveuberranged attacks go along with your uber melee attacks.

Master Rifleman is good, too, but until you get to Master, pistols fire so much faster. You'll level up much quicker in Dirty Fighting/Pistoleer skills than you will to Master Rifleman. Rifles fire so damn slow.

That being said, Master Rifleman is as good as Master Pistoleer. But since Master Pistoleer is so much easier to get, I think it's the choice.

Im trying to make a well balanced fighting machine for PvP. I love TKA and no way losing it. I have heard rifleman and TKA are a remarkable combination.

Also, I have died by a lot of rifleman in the past and think the TKA rifleman combo would be awesome, but Im concerned on how well they work together since 1 is far ranged attack and the other is melee. Is it a pain to switch between?

Im currently smuggler. I love the profession but without my layout, I cant get pistoleer as well as smuggler and TKA. The problemI have is the lack of pistol skills I have without pistoleer andit makesgetting the smuggler pistol XP a pain because I haveto fight the weaker mobs. Will it be worth it once I get some dirty fighting skills?? Are they worth the time to get them? How efficient is the low blow KD? Im more concerned on being a better PvP then having the ability to make spices and slice. I dont want to get rid of smuggler though =( But my desire to be a feared PvP is more my cup of tea.

If any of these questions can be answered its much appreciated

well, as posted before... it's really up to you. i'm TKA/Ranger. it's not "best" for anything, really.... but i like being a ranger so you know what? i think that goes to show that there is no one who can tell you what is "best" but you. sure... you could be a cookie-cutter if you want.... but there is something to be said for being unique out there in the big universe. hell... i liked that one guy's post on being droid engineer. i think that got the point across. lol. good luck, and have fun. that's all that's really imprtant!
