Just defense cap not a NERF to unstack the skills.

Yes they are NOT going to NERF Defense stacking just cap them.

A cap is understandable and I agree with it, and the rest of it does not mention any NERF's other than a change for Warrcry.

I think a hard cap on defense stacking is perfectly reasonable, and I hope that it will be well-tweaked by the time it goes live to strike a balance between fairness and skill point investment.

The warcry thing is a bummer though. I like the idea of it being useful for crowd control, but I'm going to miss my KD+warcry a lot. They should really consider making dizzy actually work on creatures if they're going to go through with it.

The hard cap is a very good idea, because lets face it some stacking combos were rediculous. The only question is... what will the cap be set to?

I don't know if I'm happy about Warcry getting changed though, might make me reconsider mastering brawler. I'll see how useful it is in PvE/P before I form a proper opinion.

About damn time, I havent seen so many damn fencers since the three musketeers. elite Professions are getting knockdowned dizzied, and some of them lay down, and let you hit on them miss mis mis mis miss all day long. You people do seem a *bit* optimistic if you dont believe that what thunderheart meant by hard cap was not a complete nerf of defense stacking. It is impossible to hit just a fencer, pretty much, how much do you think they could allow you to add, and it not be *nigh impossible*. Lol.

I agree that a cap is reasonable and needed if the game mechanics were not planned out from the start.

Iam a Master Brawler, Master TKA, Master Fencer, and 0,0,2,0 in swordsman and my Def. looks like this. (thats it, no ranged just melee)

Melee Def. +161

Ranged Def. +124

Dodge +105

Defense Acuity +96

Cobat Equlibrium +85

Def. vs. Blind +50

Def. vs. Dizzy +45

Def. vs. Intimidate +20

Def. vs. Knockdown +70

Def. vs. Posture down +90

Def. vs. Stun +15

I get my butt handed to me 80% of the time in PVP mostly due to the fact that I wont wear armor : }

I get hit all the time even in melee with my "Melee Defense" above the 125 mark.

Err, yes, lmao, you do realize the melee defense is calculated as your to hit mod? You do realize a powerhammer has a -31 and you do realize that the swordsman is the least accurate profession, and you do realize the swordsman is the slowest profession? Fencers dont get hit my friends.

Pikeman are the least accurate just ask them, obviously you never have went pikeman.

My sword is +8,+8,+8 58-235 and is Medium armor piercing wich is much better than my knucks by far.

And again YES I get hit all the time.
