Thread: (OT) Star Wars Episode III Trailer
The only thing that really bugged me about it was James Earl Jones's voice when he said "Master." It just didn't sound right, but that is being rather picky I know
Aside from that I'm looking forward to it, which is something I was a little skeptical about after Episode II.

I think the problem isn't in the vision as much as it is Lucas as Director. Remember, ESB and RoTJ were directed by other people with Lucas as Producer. (Richard Marquand directed RotJ and Irvin Kirshner directed ESB).
Lucas has even stated he wouldl rather work with digital effects and actors over real actors, and I think that is the fundamental root of the problem. If you do not have fun with your actors their performance degrades (though you cannot be too lenient naturally). The on-screen chemistry between Portman and Christenen was also quite lacking.

Also if I am not mistaken they also wrote part of those movies
As for the lack of chemistry between Portman and Christenson, I don't have enough time in the day to talk about this gaping casting flaw. Portman while quite a looker is so incapable injecting feeling into even the most basic of lines that I can only assume that she has had some kind of stroke damageing the emotion centers of her brain. She sucks the life out of every scene she is in. However she is not alone in the sucking of line from scenes. Christenson does more than his fair share. When he attempts to emote it's almost like watching a jr high drama student attempt Hamlet. He might be the worst casting chose GL has ever made.

Yeah, it certainly wasn't James Earl Jones, but a close copy.
I did like how Anakin actually looked evil for once, when they showed him with the yellow eyes.
and I look forward to seeing the Emperor kick some butt with a lightsaber (although I think he kills Mace:smileysad![]()
The early versions of the TIE and X-wings were cool, but I wasnt too thrilled about the CG wookiees
All in All, it looked pretty cool, as long as you remember that ALL previews are designed to look cool.
I'd like it if the movie opened with Anakin and Obi-Wan's fight, with Anakin being dumped into the lava in the first 10 minutes of the film. Then no more Haydn and instead we got Vader for the rest of the film. That would ROCK.

George Lucas should have gotten Peter Jackson to direct Episode III. It would have been the best movie EVER.
