Thread: If TKM is Speed Capped, then What is the Max Number? Ive heard 125 is the Skill Mod Capp Across

Thank you for the Response. That acually helps a lot. My only problem was that I had been told that ALL Skill mods Cap at 125. So is what you are saying, is that 125 is the Cap for all Except for the Speed Mods, which Caps at 100?

+125 is only the cap on the following skills:


Melee Deffese

Ranged Deffense

Counter Attack

Block

Dodge

Deffense Accuity (which you cannot get that high at this point in time)


Then all speeds cap at +100.


Any other mods do not cap (that I can think of). However you can only get a maximum of +25 from SEAs (aka skill tapes etc). As I say before read the stickies, there more information on it there, including a run down of the speed forumla in one (in the FAQI linked to in the previous post if my memory serves).

Basically Every one Claims that TKMs are Speed Caped even before Master. I think its the TK xx4x that maxes the speed (not positive about which branch, sorry). But I have also heard that the Max for all skill Mods is 125 for any and all of the Different Skill Mods.


Now, my question is, which is accurate here? I am TKM and my unarmed speed is definately NOT125, and I dont realize getting any faster with Attachmets or weapons.


So is it that every Skill Mod Except Unarmed Speed, Caps out at 125, or is it that we can actually be faster then we all think we can be?

I think this is in the stickies but I will reply anyway.


All speeds cap at +100. This includes TK but at Master TK has +115 speed which is (obivously) beyond the speed cap.


If you are TKwith Master Brawler you have +120 speed by the time you hit Master, & due to +20 of this been from the Master box we do indeed cap at x-x-4-x. Even without Master Brawler you pretty much speed cap at x-x-4-x unless of course you have a very slow VK.


However the fact we have over +100 speed does not meen we can hit faster then once per second, one hit per second is the absolute fastest you can hit under the current speed forumla.


I would recomend checking the stickies for more information that may be there. Especialy the FAQ.

i believe that that is one of the fundamental flaws of this game, i can swing my 6 foot pole as fast as you can punch me. . . . .pikeman should get hard capped at 3-3.5 seconds, but then be able to do so much more damage per hit. . . .

I have to agree. Each proffesion should be quite similar DPS but apeal to people differntly. Riffleman & Pistoleer is probably the best example I can think of. On one hand you have Riffles, a very powerful hit taken from quite far away with a big gun. Then theres pistols, low damaging close range. Now as it should be Pistols should be really fast hiting & Riffles should be slow so that the damage works out more equal but each proffesion would be better in differnt situations. But as it stands very few people take pistols simply as the DPS on Riffles is that much higher, not only do they hit hard but fast as well.


I realy hope this is a change we will see in the CU/R/B. I have a feeling it will be, I suspect the Devs probably see this the same way as many of us do.
