Greetings everyone,
I have read the board for months now and decided to start posting here.
For my first post, my question is, why the hate against a TKM with inv 3? I mean come on, everyone has to expand into more than 1 single profession to keep the character interesting. Plus, you use the best skills you have to accomplish the mission. If your target is weak to melee, then use melee. Your target is weak to energy, you use energy. And face it, TKM is all about combat. Fast, furious, devastating combat.

First off I'd like to say welcome to the TKA boards and to your question about being TKM with Inv III the reason is most people (especially BH) think that just cheapens their profession by making their one real incentive (hunting Jedi) available to anyone who gets Inv III and doesn't master the profession and put all the hard work and dedication into it. Just my take on the situation though

I dont hate 3000BH/TKM
I feel that people who want to attack jedi and not get blocked every time, and want to be able to find them should do what they feel will most benefit them in their missions. Just my opinion though.

I always thought BH was bad to have as a profession, cause in truth any profession should be able to take out a bounty on someone, the Investigation line should have been a separate line profession on its own.
TKA/Invest III is one of the best to hunt Jedi with, but if you want to be a pure Jedi killer just melee stack.

Welcome
Now, I have a comment related to OM's post
I don't think BH was a bad profession to have, just horribly implemented. Realistically BH should have been strictly modifiers that would help Melee or Ranged Combatants and grant the tracking and investigation abilities as they stand now. I would have said no prereqs, a Marksman could take up being a Bounty Hunter if they so desired, they just would not be able to take on the tougher bounties.
Consider a template where BH costs 77 skillpoints, and you could then focus on whatever combat technique you prefer. That is the way Bounty Hunter should have been done, because it creates an environment where no two BHs are exactly the same. Anyway, just my thoughts

Well that's basically whatI said.
When I read the Bounty Hunter Wars books, they talk about all kinds of BH, melee, ranged, trap based...BH was the profession they could have done the most with.
