Hi there Something weird happend to me a few hours ago, and i would likesome thoughts or clearance on this. Well... Me and my boddy was way out in the middle of nowhere on Lok. Then he turns to me and asks me to DB him... He wanted to go back to town. I say ok . Well I ask him to go unarmed for the fun of it. I reached TK novice the night before, so it would be fun to see what actually happens when i hit a player.. Havent done this before you know... Well.. We start to duel.... Confident i grap my VK and start pounding away with comboes and stuff.... Doing crappy 49 DMG a hit.... He hits with a blast of 79 DMG a hit Ouch.... Well... We keep fighting.... Well. To stay alive in the match i have to start healing... I do... Affraid of not getting his DB my mate stops hitting cuz he is killing me... And finally the match ends. I win the match Well... The thing is.... My mate dident were any armor.... I had my cool black composite bracers, gloves and boots on.... But what troubels me the most is.... He has absolutly no skills in unarmed.... And hekicked the crap out ofme... So my question is.... How could this happen... What have i missed....?

P.S.: He is a Trandoshian.. And me a Zabrak....

Being a trandoshan myself, I think I can help some.

Trandos get a natural boost to unarmed damage and speed, as well as enhanced defense against melee damage. This comes from creation, just like zabraks have a natural defense against dizzy. What might be going on is his natural defense is lowering your attack, and given his natural unarmed ability, he's doing more damage to you.

No, it doesn't sound right, but it's the only explanation I can think of. anyone else have any thoughts?

He has no brawler skills, i am sure. Nothing what so ever... And even if he was unarmed 4, it would still be wrong that he could beat me up... Im Teras Kasi damnit......

you said the magic words, you put on you vk and spamed specials, had same thing happen in my first duel, though id spam and kill him before he knew what hit him, what happened was he killed me (or i should say my specials killed me) before i knew what happened.

don't forget also, that combat in any form is a random roll of the computer dice. Sure your numbers/skills have a say in it. But it's like to lotto. You can buy 1000 tickets and have a better chance than the guy who buys 1. But he can still win, it's just a numbers game.

True, Trands do have a higher dunarmed damage output naturally from race mods...I can tell you this..work you way up the power tech tree first...by the time you get level 2 it will be a whole nother story...also I cannot imagine you using unarmedhit2 with VKs and him not suffering badly for it....try again withou the VKs...maybe they are bad VKs with high encumberances...also...I know this may sound stupid but try it again without any of that armor on..seriously, I know that sounds like leaving yourself wide open but just try it....next time your duel do this:

1. Take of your armor

2. Debuff him with intimidate

3. equip VK and spam unarmed2...I dont care what he is...If you are taking at least 800 damamage with VKs and Unarmedhit2, he will go down in 2 successful hits.

Well maybe you need to get a better set of VKs cuz mine are 1.7 attk speed 37-146 damage and im hittin people for lots of damage but then again it might just be that you need to up your skills a bit
