Twice now I have been fighting humanoid mobs and I have put a bleed on them. To the best of my memory both were on the ground from being dizzy and I was using UH3 on them. They did not last long enough for me to get alot of other information other than the bleed icon was in next to their name. I was the only one attacking these mobs at the time also. I was solo.

I've noticed this happening on Nyms (before they were rendered extinct with the "big patch"). Every once in a while, they would get a random bleed while I was doing UH3. It didn't seem to have a noticable effect though.

From back in launch days, (when my friends and I were noobs killing stuff with standard shots, no specials)
We noticed there was a very very small chance with every shot to put a random pool bleed on your target. This applies to all weapons, and I believe the bleed strength is based on the damage of the weapon. Creatures can also do this to players. I've taken a bleed from a Kreetle before ![]()

Bleeding can occur once major damage has been inflicted in addition to the use of special attacks. So...just beating the hell out of someone can cause it. We definently need a bleeding special attack however. Especially when using those sharp knucklers...i mean who wouldnt bleed after getting punched with that? =-)
