Thread: stumbled on an interesting method of getting to novice TKA fast
this method requires that you have commando. so for a lot of you it might not be applicable.
anyway, here's what I stumbled on.
find high levelish mobs. dantooine works. pikets are good.
1) pull with a pistol using health shot 1
2) take out vibro knucklers and go berserk
3) after berserk wears out, take out flamer and apply ONE flame special
4) quickly take knucklers back out and go berserk again, repeat berserk until target is dead
what happens is something that would take a long time to kill with your feeble unarmed skills now dies fast because its on fire.
and you can get more than half of the exp as unarmed if you do this.
I've been doing this for 2000 unarmed exp a pop and up.
here's a revision that seems to work alittle better.
1) flame single 1
2) health shot
3) berserk away with VKs
remember to not do anything else but one flame single with the FT, and not to do anything but the one health shot with the pistol. don't let any "regular" shots slip in.
on hourtons I've been doing this just now and usually getting 2200 uarmed exp and they die really fast.
It is an easy way, but I scoff at you if you think you are original in finding this. I mastered brawler in 2 days with healthshots.
it's not just about the health shots, I knew that was old news, but if you use a flame DOT on a bigger target you can take it down fast AND get a load of unarmed exp (somehow, not sure how it works in the nitty gritty). all I know is I am getting 2200 per kill and they go down somewhat fast, and I just went unarmed 4 with no exp to novice tka in the same set of buffs --- aka, about 2 hours, definitely less than 3.
This is a pretty interesting idea but tell me this is the flame DOT damage based on the damage you do with the flame attack or not? If it isn't connected you should go out and get one of those crappy damage flamethrowers or have a weaponsmith make you a custom low damage high speed flamethrower. This should help maximize your unarmed xp since you'll be doing less flame damage. Or just fight things with good flame resistance.
