Forgive me if this is stated loud and clear in previous posts or FAQ, but I havent found it yet.

Exactly what does Blind do ?

So far I have noticed that I have a harder time hitting my target when I am blinded, and I cant meditate or harvest. Is this any use in PvP?

Exactly what does Stun do ?

Maybe its just me not paying enough attention, or maybe I am just stupid, but I havent figured out the drawbacks yet. For me, when you are stunned, it is logically the same as not be able to do a thing. Freeze! But I can punch, heal, eat, drink, run and fart.. Is this any use in PvP ?

Exactly what does Dizzy do ?

I have found out, the hard way, that too much dizzy on you, will pass you out. However, I have yet to manage to beat an animal so hard with dizzy that it passes out. I have also tried to Knockdown/ Dizzy the target, but it seem to have no effect.

Iknowdizzy is useful in PvP, since everyone say "myh ubah lewt supercombo iz KD/dizzy, with dat i pwn u!!" - but why?

Warcry2 Intimidate2 Lounge2

These 3 skills, are they alone a good reason for spending aditional 14x3+6 = 48 skill points in Brawler? I will mainly do PvE, and just a little PvP.

Is it confirmed that Warcry1 and 2 stack? If so, you could in theory have a target never be able to do a thing. Warcry1 = freeze for 10 sec, Warcry2= freeze for 20 sec, both have 30 sec "lockout". Assume that you will land every warcry and you can keep going forever.

00 sec = Warcry2

20 sec = Warcry1

30 sec = Warcry2

50 sec = Warcry1

Uh...

I'm not certainly sure but :

Exactly what does Blind do ? => reduce your target accuracy

Exactly what does Stun do ? => increase the special move cost for player character, I don't realy know in PvE

Exactly what does Dizzy do ? => animals aren't affected by dizzy ( even if the effect lands ), player character will have a change to fall down under dizzy.

blind--makes it harder to enemy to hit you (depends on their accuracy mods)

stun--not sure, maybe it does deal w/ specials

intimidation1/2--they do stack, intim2 lasts longer than intim1...i think it's like 20-30s vs the 10-20 of intim1

warcry1/2--warcry1 lasts 10s, warcry2 lasts 20s...they dont stack...you can only use delays every 30s.

dizzy--doesnt effect creatures, but on npcs it makes them fall to the ground...they fixed it so that they can get back up, but usually takes 2-3 tries.

Blind makes it so they miss you more. I believe it reduces their accuracy with their weapon. In any case, PvE mobs miss me a whole lot more when blinded, and PvPrs do as well.

Stun increases the amount of time it takes for them to make an attack. Most PvE mobs will start attacking slower once stunned. PvP, however, many people are beyond their speed caps, so the addition to their speed this gives doesn't have any visible effect, because their mods are taking them to the speed cap again anyways.

Iknowdizzy is useful in PvP, since everyone say "myh ubah lewt supercombo iz KD/dizzy, with dat i pwn u!!" - but why?

Dizzy is useless against creatures. It is useful against NPCs, however, such as at Fort Tusken. If you dizzy something and do some kind of Posture Change attack (KD, or Posture Down), there is a chance that when they attempt to change back to standing, they will fall down because they are dizzy. It has the same effect in PvP as well. The counter to this isthe Combat Equilibrium skill mod. Note, that if they don't try to get back up, they will not be subject to the dizzy-falling-down effect.

Warcry2 is a longer version of Warcry1, in that it delays the next actions of a creature, NPC or PC. This includes getting back up from a successful KD, so you can extend the duration of the KD by the duration of the warcry. Since Warcry2 is 20 seconds, that's a long time for the target to lay on the ground with you pummeling it with a 1.5x damage modifier (the increased damage you do against prone targets).

Intimidate2 is simply a longer lasting version of Intimidate1. Intimidate lowers your target's damage output by 1/2 (or so). This means that your target is only doing 1/2 melee damage to you, and that'salways good thing.

Lounge2 allows you to lounge on your couch longer ...

...jk

Lunge2 is a longer ranged version of Lunge1 (of whatever type). Lunge1 simply causes a Posture Down effect if successful. Lunge2 actually goes for the full KD. Lunge2 also has a 5m longer range than Lunge1 (20m for Lunge2, vs 15m for Lunge1). When you combine these with Dizzy and Warcry (1or2) you can keep them flat on the ground for a long period of time. Lunges are also good for when something is trying to run away from you, or kiting you. Lunge1 can get them to kneel down for a moment, allowing you to catch up. Lunge2 can actually KD them which is a longer getting-up time and thus allowing you to close the distance even better.

I hope this helps. All of these skills are very useful in all types of combat, PvE or PvP. Dizzy, not so much in PvE unless it's vs NPC, in which case if you land it correctly, helps immensely.

IMO the devs need to increase the potency of the state attacks not just for TKs but for everyone else asl well because they are useless in PvP i would prefer a much more potent stun andblind so that the effects on what ever got hit are much more noticable.

blind- reduce accuracy on person hit with blind

stun- slows attack rate and reduces damage (good with intimidate to decrease damage further)

intimidate- reduces damage by 50% intim 2- 75% little longer duration

warcry- not stackable with warcry 2 i tried this many many times doesnt work. period

lunge2- with the 10m leeway for melee its more like a 30-40m kd now

jinbu

we can just say im one of the last few TKs that have been around since day one........ on my server anyway.

I tested that lastnight.... Not true... stun makes no different in DMG... However... there may be some creedence to it slowing down attack times.
