1. Well, if you want Doctor for curing poison and disease then don't bother to get it, with the meditate line you will be able to heal more then enough. Fire is a problem, but thats our one tradeoff. If you want Doc for self buffs, then this can be a great template. One of my guildmates is a master doc, TKM and he loves it. Pistoleer I hate to say isn't powerful enough alone to make a huge difference. Until you get to master pistoleer your stopping shot spam will be annoyingly slow, and the lack of a dodge mod will hurt you. A better build sticking with pistoleer might be 4044 pistoleer (it might just be worth going to master at that point) and sacrifice some points in Doc if you aren't hoping to buff yourself.


2. This is similar to my build, but without the medic. I love it, with master pistoleer and last ditch I can switch to ranged damge if stuff tries to kite me, or I can use KD with my pistol to prevent a mob from running away once its out of range of my VK's. Also the pistoleer dodge mod helps ALOT when solo. I wanted the benefit of filling out the smuggler tree because I want to mess with slicing and spices, but if you don't want to do this then perhaps medic is a better place for you to spend the rest of your points.
