I added master brawler a while back and enjoyed warcry2 and intimidate2, but never really paid attention to any attack or defense modifiers. Now that warcry2 has been made less exciting, I'm wondering if i should drop the master brawler and pick up something useful like a little politician or medic.

I noticed that master brawler grants a +5 unarmed damage, +5 melee defense, +s to intimidate, UA toughness, etc. (my numbers might be off a bit).

Do these little numbers make much difference?

I haven't played in a while (just happened to start up with this patch--what luck!) but it used to be that at MTKA you were pretty much capped at speed anyway. Has that changed (or been better understood)? I hadn't considered the speed bonus, but that's a feature of MB too and if it's worth having it might change things.

With the /warcry2 nerf, Master Brawler is now useless.

I have found that lunge2 is still very valuable. If you are able to knockdown+dizzy an opponent and they get back up, lunge2 will knock them back down.

Also, it's not a bad idea to equip a polearm or sword when chasing a kiter. It seems that lunge2 with a polearm will work out to 20m or so.

It is now not worth the skillpoints in my opinion.

agreed, i bought a nice +5 speed bandolier, and a +3 tape .. well with a +13 in range defence now too ... master brawler has no bonus I see of value ... find a couple tapes and your set
