Hey us in the Pistoleer forum were talking about the movie equilibrium, and have come up with some neat ideas, come give us your input.

Equilibrium has some fantastic fight scenes. The "gun kata" ideal was pretty sweet.

I rented Equilibrium once from Blockbuster because I was bored and I really couldn't find a better movie. I never heard of it before and it looked like a cheap movie.
That film rocked. It's one of the best action films I've ever seen that nobody ever talks about. The scene near the beginning where he shoots a room full of people in the dark, and the only light is the flash from his guns, that was genius.

Yeah, for a long time I kept hearing about it and dismissed it as a Matrix clone. My best friend asked me if i saw it and he said it was pretty good so I checked it out.
Absolutely love it now. it flew WAY under a lot of radar.
i also like the "1984" plot, the whole emotional homogenization of society.

Yes it did, anyway I would like some imput on the templates I had posted, seeing as I have never been TK in my life, so I got no clue if they will work.

So would you guys recomend watching it? I was tempted at one point but over here in the UK it was pretty much reviewed as a wannabe Matrix clone & I then heard little good about it.
I fancy something differnt to watch, might go rent a copy.

Equilibrium is similar to the Matrix but not a clone. The story is nothing like the Matrix, the story is about a future society where emotions are forbidden and to show emotion is to be killed. The main character is a super-warrior whose job it is to take down people who insist on having emotions. What I found brilliant about Equilibrium's action is that they invented a martial art that uses pistols, that they called "gunkata".

Yea and the people that master it, are called the Grammaton Clerics, it is really good.

I dont know why all those critics said it was a Matrix clone, it was nothing like the Matrix IMO. Anyway myself along with GreatWhite and some others from the pistol boards will be starting a PA based on this on the Valcyn server if any of you are interested let us know. Mainly pvp and jedi hunting type stuff. Should be awesome
