Some more great changes coming (though many do not pertain to us per se), but here is a place to add feedback and discuss the most recent patch.

Some of these changes are major!

"Removed all apprentice XP requirements from all professions"

Holy crap!

Lots of good changes to housing too, and ships that have storage no longer take lots. This'll be nice to see live.

Their great notes but I'm not too keen on the heal / enhancment reduction ones. They seem to be pushing away from the social element of the game a little too much fore my liking.

The AP Xp removal is nice but again it seems to be pushing away from the social element again. There should still be bonuses from teaching people in my opinion.

Other then that though they are great.

I dunno about the apprentice XP removal either. I just was shocked it was done, that's a huge change and it seemed to come out of nowhere. I wouldn't mind if they cut the costs in half though. I remember when I first started to play, everyone was a newbie so nobody needed that apprentice XP because nobody was a master of an elite profession yet. If you wanted to train from a player you expected to pay. Then all of a sudden everyone needed apprentice XP so you got people willing to train for free, then you got people shouting in cities offering to train, then you got people offering to PAY you to train you! So the need for apprentice XP was a bit unbalanced, but it shouldn't have been eliminated altogether.

Oh well, it's not a huge deal. I wonder what they're doing instead, making you earn a ton of other XP? Like over a million unarmed XP for TKM? I'd prefer the apprentice XP cost, thanks.

The housing changes are definitely nice.

The App XP changes are an interesting change, and one that I like (even if it does discourage interaction to a point). I always hated having to find people to train once others started paying people to allow them to train.

Some of the UI changes I like though (such as ability to display rank for those who want to, and being able to turn off friendlies on the radar).

Was surprised to see app xp go, not quite sure why they did that one... it was kind of nice when it was lowered, because I think people were finding that withing their guilds, everyone's template was set and nobody needed to change... and nobody likes 'teaching' spam macros. But to totally remove it seemed a bit odd.

Interesting that a lot of the changes were geared up to doing things much faster, eg faster healing, faster buffing...

i think it was removed because people satarted paying to teach. i dont think that was the origional point of app xp. so you reall still didnt have much interaction, you just had a bunch of rich people offering to pay people to let them teach them skills. well what about the people who cant afford to pay others? where does that leave them? and lets face it, it was the worst xp to try and get sometimes.

On the idea of no AP ex, I think I may have an idea.

I see it kinda the same as 60 second shuttles. The game and players are maturing and changing. With JTL, 5-10 min waits werent needed. With vetran players changing there templates and switching skills constantly, getting 300 AP is really just a pain in the ass. When everyone was starting, I was nice not having to pay any where from 1000-9000 credits to learn a skill.

I'm glad they are doing simple things like this (50% incap reduction too). It make the game alot more fun and removes stupid things that just take up time.

I think there should be some kind of quest for mastery. Watching someone spam "Training x/x/x/x, please send tell" at the spaceport kinda ruined the system too. Or the people that will pay the trainee for being taught, no matter if it's a profession specific skill, or ranged support I 20 times.

I just don't the "insta-master" syndrome. I can't tell anyone how proud and excited I was when I finally trained my last pupil and got Master. My first real feeling of accomplishment in this game.

Whoah... they must be getting their databases in order

/cheer for the poor smugglers! (We'll save the 3 cheers for the smuggler revamp when they finally get to /smuggle.... errrr is it /Smuggle?)

All in all some interesting tweaks to the game.. continuing the cutting of a lot of the "stupid" things that we've all found workounds for anyway. I did kind of like the app points concept. But I'm sure we all found easy ways around that when we were in a pinch and needed to do a quickie switch. I would like to see some sort of trade-in for APPs giving a small reward of some type for the people who do teach newbs... just put it on a timer like PvP ratings to prevent outright abuse maybe.
I'm tempted to say I like it... provided of course that the CU actually fixes stuff.

Yeah I was joking with one of my smuggler friends - to him it's almost a revamp!
