Thread: My opinion of the CU so far

i have been playing around on TC5 for a couple days now and to me it seems like the brawler proffesion isnt any harder or easier to master ( this may just be a TC5 thing) i thought i read somewhere that the proffs were gonna be harder to become master in but i may be wrong..


anyway as a long time player of SWG and a die hard TKM i am not sure i am impresed with the new system, i mean it doesnt look like a game killer to me but it does seem like they "dumbed it down" alot.


Iwas most impressed by SWG because of the differances between proffesions, now it seems alittle more kiddie like (no offense to the kiddies) but i am just not sure i like the idea of combining all the melee attacks into "melee attacks" instead of proffesion specific attacks. in the current system each proffesion has a role to play (even if that role is broken...hehe) and it kind of made sense to me the way things worked...with the new system they all still have rolesbut they are defined differently..pikeman has always been better at crowd control thanTKM or swordsman....swordsman has always been the dominate damage proffesion for melee classesand most of this is because of the special attacks and the weapons for eachproffesion now if i have it right i can be aMaster Brawler /TKM and a Master swordsman and take a couple branches of fencer or pikes to gain a couple of their attacks or weapon certifications and useALL of the specials from each proffesion as a swordsman...did i get this right?


In closing, these are just a few opinions or thoughts of mine and i don't mean to offend anyone

I don't have Test Center, and can you tell me how the mid-level mob's are, such as corsair and storms. I heard they are going to be harder to kill.

Its too early to tell how hard stormtroopers/rebels/ other npcs will be. Most of the MOB's haven't been balanced yet and they have only been balancing MOBs on certain planets. So far NPC's seem very hard, even low end ones like thugs. But I was only able to test them out as 4/0/4/0 brawler and without armor.
