Thread: TKM and PSGs post-CU

OK, everyone, please forgive my ignorance, but I was wondering if TKMs could use a PSG after the CU and not lose the TKM defenses. Anyone know?

Good question, don't know if it can be answered at this time, but for the Jedi can't wear PSG, might be same coding with the no armor stuff.

There being no mitigation and cert for psg leads me to believe that we will be able to wear them. They will only work for a short period of time anyeways

hopefully, once we reach master the PSG won't be necessary for us.


That is the intention anyway...

I hope so too, Travon. Right now I have a fairly decent PSG (lightsaber resist vanished due to that bug, so much for PVP against Jedi), and I have a spare ADK on it, for a little extra protection. If we can't wear them post CU, I will simply destroy it and reclaim the ADK for one of the new knucklers...my current one already has an ADK on it.

Unless TKA can defeat everything in the game then PSGs will still be useful. I use them sometimes for an extra level of protection. That additional protection will always be helpful when taking down extra tough opponents.

I got a sliced, and ADK applied one ... i really needed it cos of all the armor holes Trandos suffer .... gonne have to re-evaluate the need after cu ...

PSG's are considered armor. So no, you wont wear it unless you give up TKA defenses for the PSG defenses.

PSGs are armor, eh? Oh well, I guess once the CU comes I will destroy the PSG and reclaim the ADK. I plan to be a Master Doctor/TKM and use the remaining points for Scout 2000 most likely, and then toss the rest into FS defenses to be as uber as possible without armor. The new requirements for Novice Doctor will free up some points and make more defenses possible.

3. What defensive options will pure non-combat players have at their disposal?


Personal Shield Generators will be available and can be used by any profession, both combat and non-combat related. They are meant to give you a reasonable amount of protection for a short period of time. You can get personal shield generators from your friendly local Armorsmiths.


TK's only lose their built in defense if they equip an armor TKs aren't certed for. Since everyone is certed for PSGs looks like they can indeed use them.

yup i think its quite likely that we will still be able to wear a psg as tka.


hope so anyway i just blew 15 mill on an adk for this purpose
