Will a TKM unarmored take blows as well as a TKM in a full set of high end armor?

A TKA won't take blows at all without armor.

TKA get Innate Armor, this is basically toughness with a new name. That means they CAN take hits and absorb damage, not just dodge hits with thier high melee/ranged defenses.

As for the original question. TKA's don't get armor certifications, but if you were a TKA/other, your TKA defenses would be better than wearing armor from another profession.TKA innate armor does NOTstack with regular armor, so you can't have both. IF you're TKM and wanna TANK, go unarmored.

FYI, the number for TKM is +60 Innate Armor. 20 for novice, 10 for balance 1-4, 10 for power 1-4 and 20 for master. Jedi Defenders get +70.

Where did you hear this? The part about Innate armor being > normal armor.

A TKM+MBH will have better defense unarmored than armoreD?

They should, considering all the points they spent to get TKM.

Though I wasn't suprised by the decision to add this it's not something I know much about at the moment, so I can't answer your question properly.

I really don't know enough about it until until higher testing when I can do some tests of it. Today or tomorow when I update some of the TKA in the CU threads I'll add it to the question list.

THE best tank. TKA is the only profession, non-Jedi, rated a 5 in defense.

Well, for starters, TKA gets toughness that no other non-Jedi profession gets, TKA has more melee/ranged/specific defenses than any other melee profession (interestingly, pistoleer has the same melee+ranged+specific defenses value...), and the extra defensive skills.

Until the expansion is released all this talk is theory, but in theory we'll be the best tanks from a perspective of a stand-alone profession, except for Jedi (because Jedi are pretty much better at everything).
