Thread: Fact or Crap: TKA Armor doesn't work for Jedi

I'm starting to hear reports that TKA innate armor does not apply to Jedi. Instead, only a Jedi's +20 (assuming no defender) Jedi Armor will be in effect acting like a Jedi. Are there any TKM/Jedi Dabblers out there who were able to test this on the conversion servers? I'm going to be really disappointed if the +20 armor works while I have my saber up, but the TKA +60 when unarmed.

My opinion, that's not fair. I think the higher number should be dominate. Say if I started to pick up defender and drop TKA and had +30 TKA Armor and +45 Jedi Armor, then the Jedi Armor would be dominate, reguardless as to how I was playing.

So, long story short, will my natural TKA armor overwrite my pathetic +20 at initiate?

I hope it dosnt work

The only reason you want it to work is because you are a Jedi(or a wanna be0

I work hard to learn my professions' in's and outs.

I dont want someone who uses my professtion as means to get Jedi to get any significant mods that I might get,

TKM's dont ask for lightsabers do we?

Wow, judge anymore?

Look at the date I registered. I have a LOT more experience with TKM than you. I've been a TKA since the game started. I have always been a TKM and will always be a TKM. I'm merely dabbling in the Jedi professions, sticking true to my TKA roots. Now, if you don't have anything useful to say, please leave my post and let someone more knowledgable answer. Have a nice day.

Well IMO, TKM innate armor should not work while holding any non TKA weapon (including lightsabers).

I don't want to be a Newb Jedi Grinding FOTM profession.

As far as I could tell the other day when we had Corbantis on TC, it doesnt stack. I believe it only works when an unarmed weapon (or no weapon) is present.

When I equipped a saber, I was hit noticeably harder than when I was back to straight TKM.

Also, doesnt the skill description states that this is the case?

It works with other weapons. The only thing it doesn't do is stack with armor.

Ok it's my understanding that the highest Innate Armour value should work, though I could be wrong.

I've added this to my next list of questions to find out whats going on.

Thanks everyone. I remember seeing a dev post comparing TKM/Commando, stating using a flamethrower unarmed will cause the innate armor to work, but wearing armor shuts it down and uses armor as protections. There should be no difference as a Jedi, right? Keep us posted Mankind

UPDATE!

After testing, TKM armor does overwrite +20 Jedi Armor. I was absorbing the same amount of damage both unarmed and with a lightsaber. This is definetly a good thing and making the CU suck less in my eyes
