I am told that in the CU, we (TK) will have to basically be standing still for our attacks to hit..unlike ranged profs being able to run and shoot and hit us while we are in the midst of a fight.. meaning that we can't run after the opponent... basically being planted to a spot... is there any truth to this

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, 'How can we do this and not make another EQ?' We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen." - JULIO TORRES

no, our moves hit while running. any move without a build-up (is that what its called?) can be used while moving. center of being is *not* one of these moves, so you'll have to be standing still when you use it, but our other moves can be used while running.

Thanks Merc... i also found out about the whole 'rooted' issue.... it is an attack that rifles have (or is it carbines?)

From experience in a duel with a pistoleer, rooting is at least in pistols. Not sure about carbines or rifles, though it's possible they have something similar.
