Thread: TkM damage what happened??

well i just have one question with TKM.before the upgrade we where able to equip our weapons VK and do more damage than not having a VK on. now i have been testing with my converted VK, which is 449 max damage with this on i hit a lvl 82 torton for like only 94 damage. when i take the vk off and go bare handed i do 210-230 damage. is this intended and if so then why are these unarm weapons in the game anymore.

It seems that the unarmed class is best off fighting unarmed. Fine with me.


The blaster knucklers might come in handy with people/armor with resits to kenetic, but pure unarmed seems to be the way to go, and I like it.

VK's are certed for lvl 14.. and their damage no long stacks with our unarmed damage skill it seems. so either unarmed/blast knucklers(not sure if those would do more dps than barefisted)/razor knuckles (if we can loot them now)

Using a VK reduces your damage. This is not as bad as it sounds as unarmed TKs still do a lot of damage. This may change later but it is not as bad as it sounds.


Also, the blaster knuckler is very good against Assault armor. it essentially converts your kinetic damage to energy. It could and should do better though.

My blaster fists are doing more damage now than bare fists, usually. Against some armor, no weapon will be better.


VKs and Massawhatever VKs are now lower level weapons, and as someone stated, the razor VKs should be pretty good - now we just have to figure out how to get 'em

In addition, there is known bug where you do less damage when equipped with a weapon than if you're not.

Im a MR/TK 0-2-1-2 lvl 60


If I fight a lvl60 mob unarmed i do around 230 damage but with a Blaster Fist I will do around 450 damage. It may have something do with mobs having better armor vs. the damage type.
