Greetings all. I've got a few things I'd like to get off my chest.
A detailed, and informative post from a dev would quell much of the community while they work to fix TKA (and other professions), but we are desperate to know what they are fixing.It sounds like that's all the community is wanting for now. I'm willing to wait patiently while the fix us - but we want to know what they are doing so that we can at least give an opinion, instead of blind changes. The devs need our support more than ever, but they have to give us something to support.
Mankind - you are doing the an outstanding, excellent job, and the best you can under the circumstances. However I have yet to see one response directly from a Dev concerning our issues. I'm glad they at least gave you those three answers, but hontestly they were lacking the information we're looking for. "We're looking into it," does not suffice for a class whose members are alldemanding answers. What we needare plans - exactly what are they looking at, and what are the plans tocorrect it, or at least a definitive answer saying "this is how we designed it, live with it, no changes for you."
As it stands, swordsman can still beat the crap outta stuff (though I no longer enjoy that class) riflemen can still do incredible damage from afar, docs can still heal and buff (though more limited than before), combat medics can still area heal/DoT/debuff, bounty hunters are still efficient, but TKA can use CoB and take slightly longer to be incapped. That doesn't feel like an upgrade, let alone "more fun."I get the feeling most of the TKA community agrees with this and I feel we need to be addressed by the developers on this matter. I like much of the CU changes, and the ideas of theroles it has implied, but currently we cannot fullfil ours - the tank. Currently I'm having trouble taking on one opponent my level, let alone multiple. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
On a larger scope - Why take soloing out of the game? (All classes are complaining that they cannot solo effectively - we all need a group as a dependancy, not an option) Wasn't the original premise of SWG to play how you want - live the Ultimate Star Wars Adventure - Yours? My current adventure is repeatedly visiting a cloning station. (where I can't even clone because I can't "see" the cloningterminalI'm stading on top of.)Now the only viable option is to group to stay alive.
And woe be to the person who desides to be a mixed combat/crafter profession...
Answers. Real ones. Please. I beg all of you who want to know our future to chime in. I can be ignored (and probably will be), but a whole community cannot. Let SOE know we want answers and want to give our say as a community of TK Artists.
