I started playing SWG about 3 to 4 weeks ago. When I first started, I wasn't sure exactly what profession I wanted to become within the game. I had decided upon TKA. I've for the most part played casually, Had fun with the game along the way. I'm now up to TKA Novice and have had my days of just using the time to grind exp by hunting foaming Vynocks, Crazed Robas and the ocassional red giant Dalyrake, Knowing i need the exp points to make that quest of TKA Master. I normally grind pretty much when friends aren't online and sometimes do if they are anyway. In anycase, The above mentioned creatures are creatures I had been able to hunt alone on, Worked out to be great, Great exp. Grind when friends weren't online, Etc, Etc.

So while playing yesterday after gettting somewhat of an update, I decided to do some grinding seeing as had been close to getting a level up. One thing I noticed though that now when had lets say gone after some foaming Vynocks, Now they all attacked, I couldn't single them out as I was able to do in the past. Meaning all the reds in the area attacked and the yellows too. Bam, First time, I was incapped and killed, Trip to the cloning center. Figure no biggie, This can and will happen. Trek all the way back out from the city to do some more grinding. Aha, Find some of my favorites, Crazed Robas, Once again, Totally swarmed, I was able to take out 3 to 4 I believe it was and the remaining robas incapped me, Bam, Killed,Quick return to the cloning center. For a moment I was like **edit** is going on, lol. Figure OK, I must be having an off day. I tried a few more times and everything had just swarmed. A friend signed on, We teamed up, Still the same things happening, We bother were getting our rearends handed to us. We tried different tactics, Masked scents,I am able to use a nice laser rifle and he's an expert pistoleer, Most times same result, Absolutely swarmed. OK, According to the SWG handbook that comes with the game, Reds "Will almost always defeat (and likely) kill you." Well, Yesterday I didn't keep exact count but I died about 9 times out of 10 and got a total of about 6 to 7k exp. Which is nowheres near the norm for goingon grinding expeditions for myself. OK, One thing If I had an off day but I really didn't feel as though it was. If this this is the new norm for reds, It shall take me forever to accomplish all the exp points I need to become a Master TKA. Previously I didn't bother with a lot of the passive yellows because they swarmed. Now all reds too? Ick. I eventuallypicked TKA because I come from a martial artist background, If I wanted all the gun action I could of stuck with all the "hax0rs" of counter strike. I would have continued to develop ranged skills after accomplishing my goal as TKA and further down the road worried about PvP, Etc.
