Can someone give me a good explanation of what a teras kasi artist is? How powerful are they supposed to be? Where did they come from? What is their purpose? this may have been answered or i maybe showing my star wars illiteracy but for a beginning fan its a valid question. Do they serve an important purpose?

thanks

AFAIK the teras kasi didn't exist in the movies. Its a class for those who want a martial arts type melee profession.

Opinions vary, but I think most say that TK is a good class right now...but they're nerfing special attacks like Knockdown.

Teras Kasi

They were very rare very powerful usally force sensitive warriors

they existed as a watchdog of the Jedi's

In the Lore a TKA Master could and would be able to stand toe to toe with a Jedi...

TKA use the Force to strenghen thier wills and inner streanghs to focus thier attacks

where Jedi can actually manupilate the force..

TKA were a seperate order and Council much more secret than the Jedi.

In SWG we are a Joke.... we are supposed to by the places sent in the EU be able to ruin pretty much anyone short of a sith lords day....

In the EU Luke Skywalker married a TKA Master.

...and for the literal translation:

Teras - "Ranged"

Kasi- "Crippled"

Steel hands Actually my bad =P

Both a martial art and an Order. The Teräs Käsi were formed from the remnant civilians of a long-ago battle which devestated their home world of Palawa, a war which involved the awsome powers of the Jedi Council. The few survivors of Palawa migrated to a nearby world called Bunduki, where they decided to master mind over body so they may keep the Jedi use of power in check.

The Teräs Käsi are thought to be sensitive to changes in the Force, and Teräs Käsi Masters are feared by the Jedi. But Teräs Käsi are not generally Force users as Jedi are: Teräs Käsi draw internal, personal power, while Jedi draw from everything around them.

Can anyone give a list of all the EU books that contain this TKA lore in them? I'd be interested in reading them (for research and fun). I've not been able to find any kindof Teras Kasi lore or infoby searching online, nor have I ever seen in mentioned in any of the EU books or sources I've read (but I stopped reading them a long time ago and I'm kinda out of the loop, which is why a list would be helpful). Thanks.

Would that be Mara Jade? Again if you could give the source for her being a TK Master then I'd appreciate it.

Too bad the development team only adheres to the Star Wars universe as long as it agrees with their "vision."

I think we all would like to see the books where TK's get their lore, but no one can seem to do it. I think most of the lore came from the Star Wars D&D type game. There is a LONG post in these forums somewhere that I based all my knowledge on. Actually, that was ever acquired from a TK website... Anyone remember what that site was?
