Thread: Advice on getting unarmed XP

Hi there,
I appreciate immensely Mor-Dan's post on gaining XP on Endor, but he states the need for armour, and I think its pitched at someone who has other combat skills/loads of money!
I've only been playing for a couple of weeks and my intention has always been to go TKA. I don't have anything but Brawler 4-0-0-0 (ie I now have TK Fundamentals and trying to get to TK Novice) and a couple of medic skills.
Can anyone advise of a slightly easier way of trawling up the 125k of XP I need to hit TK Novice please? I tried Crazed Gurreck hunting on Endor and got absolutely pasted!

To get a substantial amount of unarmed exp you need to get you some Doctor buffs if at all possible.(get a mind buff from a dancer or musician if you can also.) You should also get mind food. OK with all the out of the way next thing you need to do is one of two things.
1. If you have a friend healer with you go to Yavin4 and kill spawn. There is a ton of Spawn there and you can get a lot of exp in a short period of time. (this is how I got my unarmed exp to get to tera kasi novice I did have doc buffs and a doc with me at the time.
2. If you don't have a Doc Friend then I would go to Naboo, Kadarra and run SW into the spawn and just kill kill kill. The other options I can think of right off hand would be find any town with good npc spawn outside of town. Tantooine is good for that.

The Unarmed xp grind from brawler to Novice TKA is the worst grind I have ever encountered. Honestly if you have a high level CH friend, take mynock missions on Lok and let the pet tank for you. If that option is not avaible, head to Talus and kill Vynocks. Either way, stay on the path, it's worth it.

I grinded the unarmed xp forUnarmed 4 and Novice TKA at the Research Facility (902 -4193) on Lok. It's a part of Nyms Thempark quests. There are 8-91100 HAM NPCs there that give upwards of 700xp a kill and the respawn is very fast (approx4-5 min). Using a2.2 spd 143 max dmg VK I was able to killthese guys in two to three hits on average. Sometimes even got a single blow kill as well. I'd recommend come buffed but overall it's a fairly easy way to grind.

If you don't have pets to help, get novice medic and buy stimpacks. I grinded alot of the way to novice on Tatooine with Cupas and such. It's worth the grind, once you get Novice, it's like night and day difference.

Thnx for the help guys!I was once a tka but i deleted the character for different reasons. i madea new char and it seems that novice tka will take forever. i forgot how i did it before. but when i was workin on unarmed 4 on tattoine, i tried killin a couple of cu pas that were yellow... and i swear, they gave me NO XP!! i was pissed that it took me 30-40 seconds and got no xp! but i might try that since now i have unarmed 4. Thnx for ur help

well, if you dont have access to buffs/pets/cm's/bleeds (which I didnt) just hunt little stuff outside mos espa. I got about 70k one night from doing cupas and womp rats and stuff. Its really fun when u attack a kreetle or gorg lair and then unarmed spin them all

Since I doubt you can get a super expensive full set of ubese armor or buffs I suggest you work on getting health shot 1, it comes with pistol IV. Once you have that, go to Rori and and use health shot 1 on Leviasqualls and Dashing Vir Virs. You can out run them, so just keep circling until eventually they are down to a pixel of health, from then, you just hit them once with your VK and you'll get about 1500+ exp for the Leviasqualls and 600+ exp for the Dashing Vir Virs. It will take a while but this method requires no buffs, no armor, just healthshot1. Get your mount to group up with you, if you don't have a mount, go on the bazaar and look for a mouse droid, it has the group command.

When I was at unarmed 4 I went to Dant and got the hurrton pack missions, (I was always buffed cause I am a master doc) regular huurtons are 1800 xp ea, plus alot of pups will come out which were easy to kill with one hit but got to novice in a few hours doing these over and over.

On the skill menu is a option to show bars wich represent the XP you gathered and how far you are from next level.
I sometimes also dont see a XP message but i did notice on the bar that i had gained some.

How I got Novice TKA:
1) Get buffed.
2) Buy some Muon
3) Put on armor (Composite if you have it, otherwise some decent Ubese)
4) Equip VK, sliced for speed.
5) Go to Dantooine, Mining Outpost
6) Get Quenker missions (5k or so)
7) Kill those **edit** dirty Quenkers. 2500 xp per, usually 6 per lair (sometimes some babies instead)
Bleeds help, but not necessary. Try to get only one at a time. I had to feign death a few times when my downer hit and there were two on me...

You soloing?
If you group with other melee professions the grind from Unarmed IV to TK Novice will take you no more than2 nightsand12 to15 missions. Equip a VK for more hits and your bound to steal the most exp.
TK Novice is the hardest but when you pass that soloing lvl 40 missions or red cons will be cake, buffed of course.
