I am gringing unarmed IV and finally about 20k away from TKN. Does it get any better as far as advancement and damage. I mean it has been fun but if the damage does not go up that much then it seems like it will get hard. I think the VKs I have will boost the damage when I get certified. They are spd 1.7 38-147 damage. So the question is...is it worth the grind?

The shift in damage when you get to TKN is like night and day. Well worth the grind. Hang in there.

You'll go from 400 damage with UnarmedHit1 to 800 damage.
Litterally, it doubles then quadruples as your get further in TKA.

It will get better my young Grasshopper. Also, you might want to go up the power/speed tree first before the others. Just a suggestion. But do what you want, it is after all your game and not mine.

That is a good point. I have not researched which tree is best. Is the meditate not worth getting immediately? I think I will work the speed/power tree first right after I get the knockdown skill

If you're just learning how to melee (i.e. never taken a melee profession before) and you don't regularly get buffs or can't generally afford them, get Balance I first (UA KD1), then get 2 boxes in the meditation line. That way you have a self buff to give yourself the extra edge/time to get used to how to work TKA.
Now you'll be self-buffed with a KD, and take Power I for the Dizzy. Now your stuff will fall down, and keep falling down, while you use your increased HAM from your powerboost (Meditation II) and pound them down.

You are partly right there, Dizzy only works on humanoids, Ive hit banthas, dewbacks with knockdown and they just get back up.. then I hit a tusken warlord and on the 8-10 try he gets back up.

Dizzy has never erally worked on animals. As for what tree you should go up first, I would definitely say the meditation tree.
