I play on Sunrunner

Pretty decent PVP'r mainly because I do it alot

Sence CU I started as a BH CH ...

but that realy doesnt matter now that I think of it

I was a big fan of pistols

I wanted to be melee and be tkm

I went thru 12 builds

builds like

0444 TK 0004 Doctor Master Pistoleer

master carbineer

I found TK is useless without master

the unarmed fighting isnt that good the knucklers are ... considerably better

So I went thru and decided

TK could go with smuggler or Commando and save a few valuable points

so I went with 4000 commando (greandes and tk mods)

with master tk 0004 doc and 0011 swordsman

This build gave a low level and well

it wasnt realy ranged chucking grenades was funny tho

So I changed to smuggler

went to master smuggler meh

switched it down

till I got to this

4004 doctor Master TK 4040 Smuggler

I am 100% for this build

Yesterday I soloed a master rifleman doc / jedi powers enhancer / Jedi defender sabers

I find

the use of roots

makes TK shine

You see the dirty fighting line in smuggler gives tk many decent mods

as well as Low blow

-40 enemy speed

Panic shot is -15

-55 your enemys cant touch you ... much less do damage if your centered

Defensive you have doctor to support that

and offensive roots and the Avatar pistols (or a good fwg5)

make this build shine

Melee / ranged ! POSSIBLE!? !!1 omg its true

But Now I've decided to change which is where I want a little responce

this build is a one trick Pony

Master Jedi Powers

Master Teras Kasi

4000 Healer

the other variant would be

Master Teras Kasi

Master Jedi Powers

Novice Jedi Healer

0002 Jedi Enhancer

any suggestions and can this work?

I actually had that build as of a couple days ago and really liked it. Smuggler gives you some nice tools to play with however I found my dps lacking as I had so much in defense. I wanted to try something new before my respec period ran out so I switched over to TKM, 4xx4 Doc, xx34 Sword, MBrawl and like it so far for PvE. PvP would be a different story though and I think I will just use the above template for doing some quests and such before I go to another more PvP oriented template.

Edit: I missed the last part of your post about the Jedi mixed in... I have no idea. I know I would not want to grind Jedi for such a build.

yes im glad to see others believe melee and ranged are possible and more then that i believe them to be very potent and very useful in pve and pvp combat, as for the jedi build TKM is supposed to tank like a Jedi Defender, however the problems i have heard about that build going with is dealing damage, but in my personal opinion i think ill be doing that when i unlock my jedi, the roleplay/pve/pvp versatility is amazing really, with Improved CoB and the katarn knucklers coupled with master powers you will have damage output and youll have defense, get as much of the Synergy tree of jedi enhancer, mainly 0004, and novice healer, i do believe you can fit that build in as calculate before containing FS skill points you should get master force powers/tkm/0004 jedi enhancer/novice jedi healer and i do believe it will be most formidable hehe

plus force choke is just sexy

i havnt tested this out at all yet as i havnt played this char since i decided how to use my final respec (saving the token)

but i am not to far from

master tka

combat prowes xx44 (melee lines)

master enhanced reflexes

force healer 4xxx

force enhancer 4xx2

force powers 44xx

the only concern i have really is my damage output but i think that the powers line i took may help there, enhancer gives me some nice toys and cloak for fun/looting and pvp. With a decent force pool, channel, tkm and healer 4xxx i think i should be a pritty damn good tank.
