Ok, about a week ago I asked for help because the Katarn was owning myself and a few friends. Last night after a few battles, we owned it! Two TKMs rushed in (myself & Dosma) and beat it down, along with my 3 elite Female Narglatches while the Wookie (Mutor)took cover and blasted it from a distance. It was a rough fight and Dosma couldn't keep his MD heals on himself fast enough so he died right near the end. Then the Katarn took off after the Wookie so my cats and I ran off to help him. I had a good amount of action pool left so I enraged the pets and ripped lose on the Katarn. It died and the Wookie roar of victory was heard all through the Shadowed Lands. It was a very good hunt and one we will remember for years to come.

If you were on Starsider I'd be happy to help. We had that same problem as well, no one wants to team up it seems. All I have seen on the trails the last week is a bunch of Jedi killing the wookies.

hehe i bet you can, i tanked it last night, and we won had all melee lol no ranged dear god it was interesting, wait we had one ranged hehe level 20 rifleman haha lol but we got him

My hat's off to ya, we were able to keep standing most of the time but it would run off near the end and that super fast regen meant we had to regroup and start over again. After working out our tactics, we got him.

Yeah its that dam regen. Grrrrr Uber regen on katarn= most annoying thing on kashyyk other than necrosis doing 10k of damage areqa attack. Now that hurts.

I too soloed Katarn with tkm/ m pikes and doc 4/0/0/0. Was quite easy as a matter of fact.

hmm....lets see

Mandolorian Wine, Vesparine, Crispic, booster blue, pikatta pie (dodge food), synthsteak, buffs, bofa treats

So my strategy was to alternate between a low SAC pup'd power hammer, and a damage pup'd power hammer to save action. Also, dont forget about melee strike. It costs barely any action and can out damage the katarn's regen while you are regen'ing action. I macro'd COB and improved infusion with a timer that told me when it was going to run out. I stacked improved flurry with COB for exta defense. I used the steak when i needed to heal. Having a 110 med capable droid out helps alot. It adds about 200-300 points to your heals. If the droid gets incapped, you will still get the bonus as long as you stay next to it.
