I hate fighting alone and I'm not too thrilled about 1 on 1 pvp. So I tend to tailor my chars for efficiency with a group or filling in the needs of the group. With that, here is the build I am thinking of taking up.
0430 Medic (pre req for CM, as well as improved healing)
4440 Brawler (gives me a bleed, pre req for TKA)
Master TKA
Master CM
Here is the way I see it. I may not have the best offense (although reading some posts, adding on burnout sauce with a bandolier can change all that) but I will be a solid tank with support skills. If I am rooted, I can whip out a rifle and fire away (improved accuracy bonuses thanks to CM pre reqs) meanwhile, the CM DOTs will be ticking away.
So battles will probably be:
1) Mez target (keep him rooted, allow ranged allies to get positions they would like)
2) Stack on a snare and a reduced combat speed debuff
3) Then I will stack on my CM dots of fire and poison as well as a bleed
4) Armor break
4) I can then tank this enemy or move on and do the same to another enemy
Of course if I am rooted, I have to hope my enemy is within 35m. If he is not, I will have to hold off until he is. I am mostly taking TKM so I can survive longer, not really for the damage. I plan on bouncing from opponent to opponent, debuffing and aiding the other players. If someone can think of a better template, possible holes in this plan, or any opinions, I would really appreciate it.

i always found that it was easier to actually be the tank when i had a high dmg proffesion as my second proffesion, with the recent changes to the aggro system involving healing i dont know that CM will be the best second proffession in order to effectively tank...say with swordsman i only had to use the taunt ability a couple times per lair rather than every time so therefore i had more dmg output.
my tka template was TKM/Master swords/Master Brawler. some ppl ivest some skills into doc rather than master brawler though. basically when u fight in a group u need to focus on dmg i think than on stopping a target from moving, with 8 high lvl ppl u can kill a creature quickly and efficiently and the tka job is to keep the aggro on himself/herself if at all possible, i usually let a pistoleer in the group stop shot when the creature got up to me then i took on my role as the tank.
