Thread: Bugs and Flaws of the TKA profession
A few bugs or flaws:
-Powerboost buffs your Mind, the describtion of this Ability doesnt say so. Mind buffing should not be.
-Powerboost makes your stats regenerate a lot quicker than without, thus making the idea of BF useless. Powerboost should boost your stats but not make you regenerate quicker. Effect: I dont need to go to the cantina anymore.
-If you meditate andactivate powerboost, you can quit the meditation stance and the boosting keeps on going for a while. The buffing process should stop if you dont keep on meditating until the stats have reached their max.
-Npc peoplewho have become dizzy and got knocked down, often don´t get up anymore. They lay there for over 10 min, hence being an easy kill
-Was it an intention that master medition skill can also heal the mind wounds, wasn´t this supposed to be done only by entertainers? Since a lot of people have jumped the TKA profession, the cantinas gotten a little emptier (though this could also be because of the Holo-hunt).
- You can fight faster with VK than without, this isnt logical. It should be slower because of the extra weight, and size
- You have a higher fighting range (15m) withoutVK than with.
You mean a nerf request right? I don't see anything you mentioned as bugs seeing as the developers have posted in one place or another that, that is how those particular things work.
There is one and ONLY one bug listed as far as I can tell. That being the NPCs still laying down after /dizzy has worn off. That is a bug to my way of thinking. However as long as they ARE /dizzy then they should be laying flat on there backs.
Everything else is pure nerfhunting.
Spoil brat must have met a TKM he didnt like..so now he has to complain about us.
SO let me guess...your a BH and got OWNED by a TKA

If you want to report bugs try /bug. Simply put, we don't want to hear your nerf hunting and whining. That being said.. go in a hole and die.

None of those things are bugs, and you know it.
-Please look ingame what ithe game says about Powerboost! And then compare its effects!
- Explain why the range of fighting without knucklers should be higher than fighting with. It isnt logical and causal. Neither are the speed advantages with knucklers.
-The mind wound healing was a question, and I was hoping for some constructive opinions.
- The knock down and not getting up isnt a bug you say? ....*sigh*
It is true that Powerboost's description doesn't say that it buffs the mind pool. Tell me though, as a TK Master, would you honestly rather it not? Why is this a problem? Most people have enough trouble with their mind pool, be glad that you have a bit of an advantage in the form of Powerboost and enjoy it.
Powerboost doesn't touch regeneration. It only boosts primary stats, it would have to boost the second substat for each pool (constitution, stamina, willpower) to increase regeneration. And if it did, how would it keep anyone out of a Cantina? Powerboost doesn't heal wounds, that would be meditation IV.
What, you'd rather sit there meditating for the full minute it takes for powerboost to take effect? Fine if you do, but don't presume that the rest of us should have to. It seems kind of pointless to me, that's not going to really do anything but cost me more time. I see where you're coming from, in the sense that a person would have to maintain their concentration until the Powerboost is completely in effect, but it wouldn't really help to have this in place.
The dizzy problem has been acknowledged as a bug by the developers I believe, and many people have pointed it out in replies to this topic. It is a bug. When dizzy wears off they should get up.
Whether or not meditation is meant to heal mind wounds is a good question - I don't honestly know if it's intentional but my guess would be that it is. Everyone knows that it heals mind wounds, and if this was unintentional it probably would have come up in the past.
I agree completely on the vibroknuckler thing. I've always thought they should be slower, with increased damage while going bare-handed should be much faster with lower damage.
Asfar as vibroknucklers and range though, why should they make a difference? Look at them, the"blade" (not really a blade since they're blunt - thedescription says so though they do look pointy to me)isperhaps two inches wide. We're not talking about a sword here - when the game's basic unit of measurement is a metre (though it really looks more like a foot) two inches won't make a difference. We should have the same range with them as without.
If you were really looking for a constructive discussion and not intending to annoy anyone, you might have phrased your post in the wrong fashion. Intentional or not it does sound like the much-reviled "nerf call". I do agree with a couple of points though.
Hi Malachus,
well I noticed, that unlike other professions, with TKA I can choose a single Profession which givesmy char independency of any healing services from other players, mind healing or health, action and mind wound healing, poison, bleeding, deseases..... It is right that the Powerboost doesntaffect the secondary stats, but I noticed, having a BF of 1000 (just to test the effects a little), that using Powerboost bypasses the effect of the BF, hencereducing theoverall regeneration time, until the stats are up to the maximum. Try meditating with a high Battle fatigue and a used up action, health or mind bar, then try the samething with powerboost. Now my char doesnt have to visit a medic, nor dohe have to go to the cantina.
This makes things of course a lot easier, but being in a mmorpg means also to have to rely on the services and actions of other players. Easier doesnt mean to me more fun.
Vibroknuckles - which, from my point of view, should never have been introduced into the game, because it contradicts the idea of UNARMED fighting. But now that its in the game, it still doesnt seem to be well placed, as we both agreeabout the speed issue. Besidesthe speed aspect I further dont understand, and thats why I assume its a bug, the idea of the range difference between fighting with and without VK. Fighting with and without VK shouldn´t have an impact on the range.
