Well today I discovered the cap on Unarmed at 900k, and can only assume than that combat has a cap too..

1) Anyone know by chance what the cap is for combat forTKMs?

2) Also...why does the game track exp after Master (the 900k) and then cap it at 900k? I mean, if theres a cap why track it at all?

Personally id rather there not be a cap after Master...Its just an extra bell and whistle for me, that way I can look and see how much I have. (Same idea alot of RPGs use with tracking kills).

i am tka master, i just caped combat xp at 300k. thats weak

The cap is usually (maybe always) double the exp for your highest level box using that type... Precision 4 for a TKM (with no other elite combat profs) and that requires 150k combat, giving 300k as the cap (which it is).

I think the cap is so you can't surrender most of a profession and buy it back quickly. I know if there was no cap, i'd probably be tempted to drop one or two TK lines to work on another prof for a while (something non combat :>), then use all the stored exp to pick it back up again quickly.

i think it's a double edged sword. They capped it so, like Kithzyan said, you can't just learn everything back off of all the xp. But the good part is that they let you go over in the first place so if you do drop TKA then you can get back on track pretty fast but you still have to earn a lot to get to master. 300k combat xp is weak? that lets you start off as 0/0/0/3..................and partly into 4 and as TKN that's a huge advantage for you. Luckly i got 200k stored up from my other proffesions
